This company is a bad neighbor. I live in the area and ever since they've opened their earthmoving business here in 2014 they've detracted from the Quality of Life in the surrounding Residential Zoning area (they are zoned for Light industrial but abut several homes and a dog training business as well as farming). The actual business plant looks pretty shoddy...like a truck parking lot. Apparently they presented to the Northfield Township Zoning that they'd build a store here, but there seems to be not much of a retail presence. Instead, the business runs heavy earthmoving equipment DAILY 7 days a week in the large open lot, and runs heavy trucks on a weight limited dirt road nearby (Nollar Rd) several times a day. All of this would be nominally acceptable except the business leaves all heavy equipment back up alarms on every day, all day, which are basically the only thing that one can hear in the neighborhood now...BEEP BEEP BEEP. They don't seem to be doing much other than moving one pile of dirt to another pile of dirt. Steele Trucking has cost several home sales in the area because of the noise, and brought nothing good. They'd be considered a GOOD neighbor if they REDUCED on their CONSTANT loud back up alarm usage and heavy equipment usage at all hours, but as of right now, we are thinking of starting up a petition to limit their use and use of Nollar Rd and presenting it to the Township. This area will be turning to home development soon and it would be nice to see the disruptive LOUD back up alarm usage REDUCED now by this disrespectful company rather than see them zoned out.
