I have been going to this office since the birth of my son in January 2015. I first chose the office due to a recommendation and the convenience of the location. In the past 8 months, my dislike for this office has grown. Today was the last straw. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, and my son and I were the only ones in the waiting room. After being escorted to the exam room, I waited for 45 minutes before I walked out of the room (at this point, my child is pretty close to being hysterical, as he has a cold as well) when I told the receptionist I would call to reschedule, as I can't wait any longer, I didn't even get an apology. This is the 4th time I've had an extremely long wait. The time before this was for a sick visit, and again, my son and I waited in reception for an hour and a half before even being called back to the exam room. Then we waited an additional 40 before the Dr even came into our exam room. Now let's get to the Dr. He's very quick, and makes you feel as though he's in a rush; and your questions regarding the care and development of your child are almost an annoyance to him. He doesn't even ask how you're doing, or make small talk. That's odd to me. The assistants are typically inconsiderate and rude. Every time I take my son there, I feel as though I'm inconveniencing them. I will no longer be retiring to this office.
His man should NOT be a doctor. He is un educated and did not know half the questions I asked him! He is rude and chews tobacco while examining your child!!!!! Do not even give this guy a chance!I am seriously so grossed out I even let this man look at my child!
Kaline Wejroch is 12 weeks old and has been diagnosed with trigonocephaly, which is a premature closure of the metopic suture, it is rare and happens in 1 of 2000 infants. I noticed my sons head shape the day he was born. When he was about 4 weeks I did some research on his head shape and brought trigonocephaly to the attention of his pediatrician Dr. Marcus Todd in Livonia. He told me it was impossible for the suture to close and would not listen to a word I said. Mind you I am a first time mother and am scared and nervous. I told him this condition is rare and happens in the womb. He then again told me I was wrong and that it's impossible for this to happen. I told him I would like a second opinion and would like him to get a referral to see a neuro surgeon. He told me he would not send one out because it's impossible for the suture to close at his age and that I could go pay out of.pocket to see a surgeon. Mind you I am a medicaid patient and he told me to pay out of pocket. He stormed out of the room when I had more to say. His assistant Dr. Melissa was in the room and she gave me a business card for a surgeon. I emailed the surgeon Dr. Woodruff and told him my concerns, along with pictures of my sons head. His secretary Stephanie ripple emailed me the next day saying to call her. Dr. Woodruff looked at the pictures and wanted to see my son and they tried to get my sons records from Dr. Todd and he denied kalines records being sent, in order for them to treat him. At this point we went to a new pediatrician dr. zeskind who recognized the condition of his suture, and s e immediately sent out a referral to see a craniofacial surgeon at motts childrens hospital. On may 6 he was diagnosed with trigonocephaly . If I had not researched and pushed this, Dr. Todd would have undiagnosed him and my son would have had brain damage for the rest of his life. I am truly disgusting this man and believe he should not be working with children, as he is malpracticing.
