I don't know what as worse, the food or the service. I ordered a simple cheeseburger with fries. I bit into the burger and I could not bite through it. I was thinking, is this a big pickle or tomato? No, it was TWO pieces of WAX PAPER that were on either side of the cheese. It was disgusting. The paper was grilled right onto the burger. They were jerks about replacing it. Did you expect me to eat it with two pieces of paper on it? I will never ever eat there again. It shows you they have no regard for basic kitchen hygiene or paying attention at all during food prep. I emailed the restaurant and they never contacted me about it.

Champs - great restaurant

Have eaten at Champs several times - always a great meal/ wonderful presentation.

Best Restaurant/Sports bar in the Area

By far the best sports bar in Detroit. When the Tigers made the world series the wave actually went around the bar and restaurant about 5 times. The food is great and the service is better than most other places I've been to. I am a ""regular"" there now but the best part of Champps is that I can take clients in for lunch, take my family for dinner, go to watch the big game with a crowd or go in for some late night drinks. Families can benefit from their kids eat free every Tuesday. They have some awesome new drink specials for happy hour and late night. All the food is made from scratch and the portions are HUGE.

I take my clients in for lunch all the time, my family two or three times a month but I head up there mostly for the sports.

They have a lot of TVs (I figure around 20), including a 110 inch high def projection (I asked the manager), four plasma in the bar and three other large ""wall"" TVs. The biggest wall TV has a big screen and five smaller screens or it can be one very large screen. There isn't a bad seat. Their only drawback is they can't get games on Comcast local channels (being in Livonia) but they have every other package available.
