The Learning Tree is an Excellent facility and I can't imagine sending my child anywhere else! They have non-stop curriculum, activities, learning and fun to keep my 2.5 year old not only fulfilled and happy…but also challenged. They continuously monitor progress and make sure that children are in the right classes and I am always impressed to hear about a new party or parent/charity event they are throwing. My daughter’s teachers are incredible! Savannah W. and Korrine S. are two of the most wonderful, caring and responsible people I’ve ever met! Only those of you that have children will understand how important it is to drop your child off in the care of someone you completely trust...so that you can leave knowing your most prized possession is in good hands. That’s how I feel when I leave my daughter with Korrine and Savannah….and my daughter lighting up with a huge smile on her face at the mention of their names also tells me they’re doing an amazing job. Great teachers…great school…my future children will also be enrolled at The Learning Tree.
I agree with mom_of_2_kids, my children are currently enrolled but we are actively looking for a new center. When we first enrolled the staff was caring and informative, things seemed organized and professional, but over the past several months things have gone downhill. I thought also it might be growing pains, but the center has been open for over a year, and they still seem to be working out the bugs. Also, they lost some really good (great!) teachers, who would have stayed had The Learning Tree treated their employees better....happy employees = happy children in my opinion! Ratios are often not followed, and the staff seems too busy keeping up with their chores/responsibilities so they can leave on time, rather than tending to the children. I saw a child fall, in tears, and the teacher from across the room just said, "I'll be right there," until they finished folding some towels. To me, a child crying deserves dropping non-essential tasks and tending to the child. a big turn off!!
The Learning Tree in North Livonia is an amazing place. I have my 2 year old and 4 year old attending for almost a year now. The staff are incredibly kind to the children and have made such a difference in our girls lives. The school provides all food and snacks, using organic and healthy food. We just attended their Christmas festival and were amazed at how much effort was put into the family style meals, decorations, children's songs, and even having Santa there! It is a really great community and I cant say enough wonderful things about it. Our teachers are Rachel D., Kamryn M., and Ashley S. Its hard having your children attend daycare, but these wonderful ladies helped to ease my anxiety. My kids get big hugs in the morning and the evening and look forward to seeing their teachers and their friends each day. Thank you ladies, and thank you Learning Tree
Experience was fairly good until the end. We informed the manager in August we'd be pulling our kids out at the end of September due to job loss. They did not communicate that we'd be hit with a full year registration fee plus activity fee plus late fee we were charged while trying to straighten things out with them. We attempted to offer to pay a prorated fee for the time our boys were enrolled but were told the charges are "automatic" and there was nothing they could do. Very surprising for what we thought was a small business. Also, teachers only get bonuses for parents posting reviews. Company allows them to beg the parents for reviews instead of completely focusing on caring for the kids. Overall the teachers we had were good to our kids. Company is what we were unhappy with overall. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone based on that.
My children were enrolled for about a half a year at the Learning Tree. We were really impressed with the staff when we started there- they seemed attentive and caring to new families. Unfortunately, I dont think this continued. I witness teachers complaining about the students and eager to leave when the ratio dropped to needing 1 less teacher. The teachers were in and out of the classrooms and there were helpers that rotated in and out inconsistently. At drop off and outside the teachers would stand in the back and chitchat rather than play with the children. It felt chaotic. The office staff is unresponsive to needs of families. I dont know if the center was feeling growing pains that would be resolved when they got the appropriate staff in the center, but we were not willing to stick around and find out.
The infant room at the learning tree west has been wonderful for my daughter. She started at the center when she was 12 weeks old and now at 2 weeks shy of 6 months she is already crawling. Her abilities have already exceed the other children in our family of similar age. She really enjoys all the activities and art projects that the teachers plan and I enjoy seeing her experience things she otherwise would not get a chance to do. Miss Kat and my daughter have a very special relationship and it had made returning to work a lot less stressful when I know she is well taken care of . I am always reassured when I come to the center to pick her up and see what a great time she is having Playing or snuggling with Miss. Kat. I would recommend miss. Kat as an excellent infant teacher to others.
We absolutely love Miss Noreen! Our oldest daughter had Miss Noreen in Toddlers, and our youngest daughter will soon be moving up to the Toddler room with Miss Noreen too! Her laid back nature has a very calming effect on the children, which a quite a feat with a classroom full of 18 months-2 1/2 year olds! She's fantastic with the children and her patience is admirable. We were amazed how much our oldest daughter learned in the Toddler room with Miss Noreen; to this day when our oldest daughter sees her in the hall she always runs up to her to give her a hug. We've enjoyed getting to know Miss Noreen over the years, and can't say enough great things about Miss Noreen! We highly recommend the Learning Tree and Miss Noreen!
The learning tree has been wonderful for my Daughter. She was enrolled at 12 weeks old with Miss. Amanda and the experience has been great. Now at nearly 6 months old she has excelled in every aspect under Miss Amanda’s care. Miss Amanda is really passionate about showing the kids new things and creating themes that are fun and interesting. My Daughter has had a chance to play with and create things that she otherwise would never get a chance to do. Miss Amanda always makes us feel safe and welcomed and takes great care of our daughter.. I would recommend Miss Amanda to others.
Miss Korrine's positive energy can be felt as soon as you walk into the classroom. She is extremely compassionate and caring. Many times I see my child holding Miss Korrine's hand or sitting on her lap. I know that my child trusts her! I love the fact that Miss Korrine always provides me with a fun fact about my child's day! This week I learned that my child enjoys climbing to the top of the climbing castle, made a new little friend, and sang to his teachers when he work up from his nap early. Thank you Miss Korrine for the positive impact you make on my child each and every day!
All of the teachers at the Learning Tree North are fantastic. I am amazed but how much my son has learned in the amount of time he has been at the Learning Tree North. Their menu is great and is teaching my son to eat very healthy foods by making them fun. My son is very happy there and frequently does not want to leave at the end of the day. They do have a very high turnover of teachers, but we have been very fortune with the talented teachers he has had so far.
