I have lived all over this country due to my profession and have NEVER seen a company more crooked, rigid, and money-grubbing than this one. Did Hitler himself found the "business"? If you're only a few days late with a payment they will shut you off, charge you $174 deposit fee, a $35 reconnect fee, and a plethora off misc. ones until your bill exceeds the $300 mark. This applies even if your bill was only $60!! It doesn't matter if you've had your account for a month or several years. As I own a house here and have no choice but to deal with these chislers, I have started pursuing alternate energy sources such as solar, etc. to distance myself from their unethical business practices.
Power goes off regularly. Wind, rain, cold, critters, construction, etc. Can't keep on grid consistently. Always have an excuse as to why they can't cut dangerous trees in utility right of way. "Oh, they have laid off tree crews". "Oh, they have such a backlog". "Oh, they are way up in another area". Frustrating and obvious that they count on you to give up. Why is it ok to wait until a tree falls and takes out a pole rather than fix a potential deadly situation. DGAF attitude and CYA and excuses, excuses. I guess if you were important the upper mgt. would be right on it. Why should a coustomer who pays their bill on time have to beat the bushes to get a problem fixed. Disgusted.
Terrible customer service and policies! We have had multiple run-ins with this company's poor, rude service. They are unhelpful and their fees are outrageous and their payment system is difficult to understand. We have looked over the bill many times and can't find a rhyme or reason to why we have paid out more then we seem to owe. I have taken these complaints and issues up to management and all they said was that I wasn't on the account secondary list. No offer to help or request to speak to the account holder, my husband. They are the only electric company and they know you can't go anywhere else.
