Don’t use this pool/spa contractor. When job is completed, basically they give you the keys to the car and say enjoy the ride. They do not know how to start up and operate a salt water spa. Our pool had excessive staining and their follow up procedures/protocol was unacceptable for spas. We had one blocked drain full of plaster and Reardon said too bad too sad. Rootertown drilled through 4-6” of solid plaster.
Worst experience with a contractor ever. Installed the wrong color pool cover, and it doesn't even fit the pool. Lot's of excuses, rude bitchy service...they have no idea what they're doing and had no interest fixing a lousy job. Just took the money and ran.

Provided by Citysearch -Let me say that I am quite DISAPPOINTED. I have never taken the time to write a bad review before... anywhere. But this company messed up and then were SO completely rude about it, that it would only be fair to warn others before they make the same mistake I did in calling them.
I looked up many companies and checked out reviews and websites prior to making a single phone call. I explained that I was an absentee owner calling to make arrangements for service work from out of state and coordinating this repair at my commercial facility and that I would need some advance notice in order to arrange my staff to meet them, which could be done easily. I judged a book by its cover and assumed that I was making the right decision. I called on a Thursday for a service call, Caitlin mentioned that they were busy and and would call me as soon as possible to make an appointment. I was thrilled that they were organized enough to explain in advance that they were busy. Monday afternoon the following week I still hadn't heard anything and our heater wasn't fixing itself, so I called back, spoke with Caitlin who was very nice again and she said they would ""try to get over tomorrow morning and they'll call to let me know when they are coming"".
TUESDAY morning - FOUR DAYS after my initial request to pay them to visit me. I had received a voice mail at 7:16 am from a service tech Tim. I was in the car and missed the call. The voice mail said he is on his way and will be there in 5 minutes. (SO MUCH FOR ADVANCE NOTICE AND FOR MAKING AN APPOINTMENT). I called him back precisely when I got off the freeway and pulled my car over at 7:54 am. I said I apologize for the delay if you are still in the area I can send someone over in ten minutes. He said that he was long gone as ""Senior"" had called him to an emergency in Evergreen where a spa they had just built was leaking and then he told me it was probably the electrician's fault. Annoyed at all the excessive detail I let it roll and asked when he could get back to my job as that is what I really cared about. I mentioned he could come ANYTIME as long as he gave me advance notice or just set an appointment. He said he'd call later when he knew it could happen. I waited....
At 2:27pm I called to see what the status was. Tim mentioned that ""Senior"" wanted ""Junior"" there and that they would try for tomorrow morning. I mentioned I was fine to wait as I was still hoping for good service. This is when I got a whiff a bad news. Tim said I had missed this morning and the scheduling is not their fault. (Did he just blame me for not knowing that he would be there since I had waited for days for him and was given 5 minutes notice - if that)
I suggested back - that the scheduling is an issue becuase I need some notice so I can be sure someone is there to open the door and show them around. (sounds reasonable to me!)
When he said maybe tomorrow, I decided I would stop dealing with the service guy and see if I could get some more definate answers back from teh office or heaven forbid ""Senior"" himself. I called Caitlin suggested there was a problem with the scheduling and asked if we could commit to a firm time. Lo and behold I did get ""senior "" on the phone and he laid into me about the fact that I missed my appt. I went from zero to sixty and pressed him to make this right. He said he would but never let up that it was my fault and that I had been given advance notice...ARE YOU KIDDING ME????
We scheduled for Wednesday at 8am for their last chance. In the meantime, I called another company oh, they answered and schedule for 6pm TODAY, Needless to say I canceled my 8am tomorrow with Reardon and will use the other company! I will never call these RUDE INCOMPETENT jerks again. I recommend you do the same! Iwilll leave a review regarding the guys who comes tonight, less than three hours after I first called him. NOT 4 DAYS. Oh yeah, and he was pleasant

Provided by Citysearch -I am in need of a new pool cover and spoke with Katelyn at Reardon about getting measurements for such cover. She explained to me that for $135.00, the amount of a service call, she could have someone come out and take the measurements. I asked that since I was paying for the service call could I get a copy of those measurements, she replied ""Yes."" Tammy (evidently a manager and in dire need of people skills)called to set up the appointment only to be EXTREMELY RUDE saying that they could not do the measurements for that price and that Katelyn didn't understand. I will take my business elsewhere, not only do I not need to be treated like dirt but they obviously don't need any future business from me.

Provided by Citysearch -I have used Reardon Pools to winterize my spa over the last several years. This year when I reopened it the spa jet eyeballs were missing. I called their office three weeks ago and they said they would get back to me. They never did. I called today to enquire about the missing jets and was told that if I wanted them that i would have to buy them, at a cost of $70.00. I didn't lose the jets, their crew did. I am extremely dissapointed. The response that I got was rather rude, they simply said that it wasn't their problem! I would not recommend this company for any work. You can't trust their crews. I would assume they have had similar problems, thats why they demand payment up front.

Provided by Citysearch -We used Reardon Pools to design and build a large inground ""spool"" at our home in summit county. They were able to create an incredible family gathering place that we use daily throughout the entire year. We had a very tight time frame to finish the project and they finished the projects several weeks early. Followup service has been great, despite the long distance. The quality of the product and service and the professionalism of the company really impressed us. They created a system that functions under all the severe weather conditions of Colorado winters and it has been such a pleasure to work with their company.

Provided by Citysearch -My family used Reardon to create a wonderful Colorado pool resort! We often visit and bring friends over to make as much use of the pool as possible. After brief instructions on how to operate the pool, we have all been able to successfully use the facilities without any issues. Also, support received from Reardon has been timely and helpful. As first time pool operators, we have been lucky to have such patient, experienced assistance!

Provided by Citysearch -Reardon is incredibly responsive to my pool needs. They not only designed and built the pool, but service it regularly for me. Through their guidance, we were able to avoid a number of pitfalls that other people have experienced through other companies. We are extremely happy with the results, and continue to seek guidance from the Reardon team for our pool needs. I would recommend this comp[any to anyone looking into installing a pool, especially if you are new to the situation.

Provided by Citysearch -Reardon Construction was contracted in 2008 to build a pool and spa in our backyard. Since completion, they have maintained them in great fashion. We have experienced no problems with the equipment or the service for over two years and will continue to utilize Pool and Spa Experts for the future!

Provided by Citysearch -They built my pool while our new home was being constructed. They advised me on size, depth, cover, waterfall, decking, tile, lighting - the total package. It turned out beautiful, and extremely functional, especially since we desired year around use. Their service and maintenance has been timely and very helpful. They even teach you to do your own maintenance. I have dealt with Randy Sr. and mostly Randy Jr and Juan. All very good people. Would definitely highly recommend if you are looking for a special pool and a special experience.

Provided by Citysearch -I spend a lot of time entertaining clients and my pool is very often the focal point of meetings and parties. My experience with the Reardons was so exceptional that we have become close friends. They not only went above and beyond my expectations with constructing my pool but have continued this level of service for over 4 years while servicing my investment. I have referred them to many of my friends and clients and they have all been equally pleased with Reardon.

Provided by Citysearch -WORST pool contractor EVER! This is my FOURTH season that my pool has opened. So far I have replaced the pump to my waterfall, two motherboards, had all electrical work redone to the waterfall, replace the entire heater and an entirely new motor replaced. Again, I have had this for FOUR years only! We have spent close to $10,000 in repairs on a BRAND NEW pool. Reardon washed their hands clean of the situation the minute my one year warranty expired. Problem is, when it comes to warranties there is no black/white. In an obvious case of shotty work & equipment from the initial build they should be held liable. My understanding is there is a class action lawsu*t pending against Reardon from past customers....I will be jumping on that one! STAY FAR AWAY from Reardon, there are so many others out there. Don't let them suc* you in with their sales pitch and words. Because they are ONLY words! They stand behind NOTHING!

Provided by Citysearch -We had a pool built by Reardon. There were countless hidden costs associated with the project along the way, these costs and other work that needed to be performed by contractors and landscapers was not communicated. The whole process took over 6 months!
