Many ways to enjoy this delightful salon and spa.
My elderly and frail mother went for a manicure which I scheduled via email although I could have texted for one, too. Tracy was fabulous as were all the staff. Tracy pampered her as she performed the manicure so professionally and tenderly. While she listened to Katy tell stories I went on a shopping spree in the beautifully decorated front of the spa.
I hadn't seen such a collection of well priced vintage and exotic earrings and hair adornments. Many of the items clearly were green in consciousness which I really appreciate. Lots of wonderful beauty products too.
I discovered they have a new private studio for spa and children's parties which will come in very handy this summer for both bridal shower and kid's birthdays. Everyone in Little Rock will find something special at this gem of a place.
As a working mom and wife often does, I certainly attemp to maintain great hair, skin, nails and well at times i require additional waxing services. I NEVER have time. In fact before today it had been five months since i last had my hair highlighted and trimmed, same for my eyebrows and my bikini waxing. During a business trip to Little Rock, Theresa and Fontaine are prefessionals i am glad i found. After much research I decided to visit Caracalla (Valentine's Day is around the corner) for the maintenance I usually try to upkeep. Theresa is an expert in her field of waxing...first time i didn't feel like tears would roll down my cheeks and Fontaine a master at hair color and design. I would consider visiting AR just to have a chance to go to Caracalla again. EVERYONE was so nice and professional. Trust me when i say i am a very difficult person to make happy and for me to take the time to write a review is unheard of. Needless to say, if you want to walk out feeling relaxed and happy you need to stop and see Theresa and Fontaine.
I was so impressed with the knowledge and pampering that I got. I have never been so happy and satisfied. The environment was relaxed and friendly; so many little things to shop for while I was enjoying my Gift Certificate I got for Valentine's Day. I wish I had discovered Caracalla before; it is a well kept secret that everyone should indulge in. Every detail was sweet; making appointment, location, range of services, professionalism of staff, quality of products and high quality of customer care. Aside from Caracalla compliments; there is a StarBucks next door for a boost of caffine.
I have been going to Caracalla for many years, and I feel confident in saying that they do not discriminate for ANY reason. I was personally in the salon one time when a child was running around unsupervised while his mother got her hair done. It was very stressful for me, a mother of two, to watch this child climb on the chairs and touch everything while his mom sat under a hair lamp. The staff did their best to entertain him and laugh it off, but it obviously bothered them and the other clients.
I regularly have my hair cut and colored at Caracalla along with other services such as pedicures, waxing and massages as time and my finances allow. I ask for gift certificates from there for holidays and my birthday. The employees really try to make sure that each experience is exceptional.
I would never recommend this salon to anyone. I'm new to Little Rock so I just went to the only salon that looked decent from the outside. When I walked in I was notified that if my son chooses to "act up" I would be asked to leave which I could understand except the person wasn't even remotely polite when he said it. I suspect he wasn't too pleased that I'm asian and not the typical white woman that they prefer to deal with. So I guess if you're white and childless you may enjoy your haircut, but I wouldn't really know.
I have read through this review many times. I would like to tell our side of the story. We are a salon & spa so we do have to ask our customers to keep this in mind when they bring children into the building when the child does not have an appointment. We have three African American employees, two Brazilian employees, one Asian, and two Hispanic employees. We want everyone to be welcome and comfortable at Caracalla. We love everyone including children. We are sorry we did not make this customer happy and welcome. We work hard at our values and try our best.
