Pros: The staff is very friendly, it's 24/7, they have a good mix of cardio machines, free weights and machines. Complimentary towels and toiletries. Security cameras and a panic button. 35% discount for military and first responders which is about $20/month. Cons: It's a little too small for my taste, makes it where it's a little too intimate. I like a more spacious weight room. I could see where it would get really crowded, really fast. The machines (weight & cardio) look a little outdated. They don't appear to have as many features as some of the bigger gym machines have. Appear as though they're from the 80s ,90s time range. I'm sure they do the job, but they're definitely nothing fancy. Bathroom is crazy small: 1 stall, 1 urinal, 2 showers, 1 sink. That's it for the men's room. Gym isn't always staffed.In all, it's a gym. Decently priced for military and first responders but if you're just an average Joe, I'd maybe look for a better, up to date gym.

On very few occasions have I been treated as rudely, disrespectfully, and unprofessionally as I was recently at Chenal Health and Fitness. I went to the gym yesterday as a guest of my girlfriend, as we had several times in the past using what had been a perk of her membership allowing me to work out with her. At the check-in desk I was informed that they had changed their policy and were no longer offering the guest pass privilege. As my girlfriend had not been informed of this change, I asked to speak with a manager regarding this, upon which Shane came to speak with me. Shane informed me that due to a legal matter, they had discontinued this privilege. I told him that I understood that, but was disappointed by that this had not been communicated to the members. To this he replied that a communication of this type would “stir up more dust that it’s worth”. I then asked how they would deal with members who were opposed to this change, to which he replied “we’ll just cancel their contract, they’re not worth it” at which point he directed the clerk (without even asking me) to cancel my membership. I told him I wasn’t even a member, but a guest of a member, and though she (my girlfriend) was not even present at that moment, he directed the clerk to cancer her membership. He paused, then said “you know what, before we go and cancel a membership based on this guy’s say-so, let’s check with the member”, which marked the first and only logical thing to come across from him during our discussion, although I had not at any point requested anyone’s membership be canceled.As of this writing, their website still lists the guest pass as a benefit, and ironically states “At Chenal Health & Fitness, we take pride in the service we provide for our members. Our number one concern is your satisfaction.”As you can see from other reviews, my case is not an isolated incident. Save yourself the hassle and take your business to where you are treated as a valued customer and are provided with upfront and truthful communication.
I love going to the gym now because of everyone at Clubhaus Fitness. The classes are the best! The instructors are so knowledgeable and friendly. Love it!

Tina is an amazing trainer. She is a natural "people" person and it's hard not to fall in love with her. Besides her wonderful charismatic personality she is an excellent trainer. She really knows her stuff! We tried to convince ourselves that we didn't need a trainer and that we could lose weight on our own, but that wasn't working too well. We decided to train with Tina a year ago and every time we work out with her we really "feel" it. Less than a year later my husband and myself have lost a total of 120lbs! People are amazed at what we look like a year now and often ask us if we've had surgery. She has literally changed our lives (Insert tear here). She's A-MAZE-ING!
Beware Chenal Fitness. It seems their business model is based on a scam or half-truths. The gym itself is nice and priced very reasonably. The additional services like massage, stretch, training, require additional contracts. There have been a steady stream of massage therapists and trainers there. It's like a revolving door. The quality of the massage is subpar at best and the price is $75 per hour. You can get a fantastic massage at many other places AND have a consistent massage therapist. I WOULD ONLY RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO SOMEONE WHO WAS STRICTLY LOOKING FOR A DECENT GYM TO LIFT WEIGHTS AND DO CARDIO. NOTHING ELSE.
The gym itself is nice. The personal trainer program has got to be the biggest rip off I have ever been scammed with. 90 dollars an hour for a gym baby sitter. Three different trainers in the first two months and three no show appointments. The management does not care. They will not return calls. The desk people are very nice but say that the trainer program is separate and they cannot assist. The desk people will tell you how unhappy their customers are and how sorry they are but the trainer manager lives in Boston and there is nothing they can do to help. Save yourself a heap of trouble and do not sign up for any of their offers.
