The listed phone number is disconnected. When I went by, the lady was extremely rude and hostile. The place is absolutely filthy, I can't imagine anyone letting their child stay here. The couple kids I did see looked obviously distressed, I think they mistreat them. I'm going to be contacting the BBB and DHS and have this "learning center" investigated.
I do not normally write things like this but I feel it is my duty as a parent to warn other parents about this school. ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY MONTISSORI school is a complete and utter joke! The Montessori Method not adhered to. They have been cited with multiple violations by DHS. Violations that I, as a parent, have never been informed of. Some of these include hiring teachers without a background check, contamination issues, fire hazards, and the (very scary) list goes on. They must have forgotten that its public info! These "educators" have absolutely no idea what they are doing and if your child has any sort of special need you can forget it! The building is falling apart and it is filthy. I would only recommend sending your child here if you have no concern for his/her safety, wellbeing, or intellectual stimulation. Their main concern is all about the bottom line. MONEY. If you aren't a doctor, lawyer, or exceedingly wealthy don't expect to fit in here. Average hardworking people are not welcome and god forbid you be divorced. It's not tactful but it's the truth and I'm putting these frauds on BLAST.
They have a new number 5012158395 they are very good with my child love them to the moon and back I child will be with them for good
This school is really awesome because you can do everything hands on. Go to ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY MONTESSORI. You will have a blast at that school.
Love this place and the staff...always willing to work with you. And professional..has balanced meals as well
My son has been here almost a year, and we absolutely love it! They keep the kids busy with various activities and keep them on a schedule. My son's teachers are wonderful! I am not left wondering if he is being well taken care of during the day. I know he is receiving the best possible care. He is so excited to go to daycare in the morning, which is very comforting for me. His main teacher always shares funny, interesting stories about my son, which is exactly what I want to hear. I want to know what I am missing but am also so happy to hear that my son is having a great time. My child has become more social at CDC, and I believe that is thanks to his teachers. We switched from another daycare where our experience was not positive. Once we started at CDC, I only felt guilty that we had not switched my son sooner. The care he has received at CDC has been outstanding, and I cannot say enough positive things about it. I highly recommend this daycare.
Agape church is strongly based in the word;instructing in depth on faith, grace, mercy, discipleship, and as the name would suggest the love of God. I have been to several churches in the US especially in Arkansas an am a pastor myself, I have yet to find a church that is more firmly rooted in the Word of God and doing what the Word says.
The school is amazing! So many resources available to you. The campus is friendly and an open environment.
The facility was fine, considering the area. It was clean. The murals on the walls and windows are neat. The price was unbeatable, but you get what you pay for. I spoke with the director before I registered and explained that my 3-year-old had never been in daycare before and she had problems in VBS and dance camp over the summer. She didn’t understand classroom rules and procedures. The director told me that she just needed to be worked with and they had dealt with kids like mine before. My child spent 4 hours in a classroom before her teacher left for the day and then 4 hours with another teacher, after hours. Every night when I picked up my child there was a different teacher working. For a full week, M-F, I asked both teachers every day how my daughter was doing. I was very concerned since she had never been in a classroom before. Every day, twice a day, the teachers told me she was doing really well. She was using the potty, eating snacks, and getting along great. On Friday of that week I was stopped at the door by the night teacher from the day before. She asked me if I would be there an hour early. I told her I pick up my child at the specified time every day, I work late. She looked upset, even looked at the floor, and just said, “Okay…” I must have ruined her Friday night plans as my daughter was the only one there that late. When I picked up my child that night her teacher had a guest staying with her. They were carrying pizza boxes so I asked if my child had eaten dinner. She said, “I made soup but she wouldn’t eat it.” I wouldn’t eat soup either if there were two pizza boxes in front of me. She gave me an envelope and said the director wanted me to have it. I read it when I got home and it was a letter explaining that my child could no longer attend their daycare because she spit on another child, hit her teacher, and she “messes with the light sockets”. They actually used the words messes and light sockets. I thought that was very uneducated verbiage to use in a professional letter of this sort. Anyhow, I was floored. I asked every day and they always told me she was great. And she had never done any of the things outlined in the poorly worded letter at home. I am a stay-at-home mom for the most part, surely I would have seen these behaviors by now. Since they were brought to my attention I asked my child about what happened. She told me that a boy spit on her and she spit on him back, then she spit on another girl. Monkey see, monkey do. She said the teacher was yelling at her for taking her shoes off so she hit her. We do not allow shoes in our house. Shoes get kicked off at the door. So she was confused. I explained to her that you are supposed to wear shoes at school and she said, “Oh. I didn’t know that.” Then I asked her about the outlets and she denied touching them completely. I guess the daycare doesn’t have covers on their plugs. I don’t know. That isn’t something I paid attention to when I toured. The day after my daughter was kicked out, Saturday, she was vomiting and had the worst diarrhea I have ever seen. This lasted for 3 days. She got a stomach virus from the daycare. The night teacher telling me about offering her soup and then her getting sick makes me think they knew she was sick but didn’t bother telling me. Why should they? She wasn’t a student anymore anyway. They kicked my kid to the curb with no warning. I don’t know what the director thought I was going to do Monday afternoon when I had to go to work. She didn’t care what I did with my daughter. She didn’t care about my daughter at all.
This is a scam. We have called for two weeks. My wife is blind. I guess this is another Madoff kind of scam where they get government money, but, they keep it. I am very disappointed in this. They tell lies all over the net. Someone is making a lot of money, just not the people it was intended for.
