This was a horrifying experience! The slim woman at the counter was offensive... My mom who is almost 60 needed professional makeup artist to fix her up for a photo shoot. That crazy woman asked her if she was pregnant... I mean you need a medical condition for this comment to be excused! And when a customer helped us with directions for a different part of town and offered to lead the way she was like "awww she is being a good Samaritan " . She was insincere in every comment she made. And the makeup artist (Carol) didn't do a full makeup on her, she just grunted and was a complete mess. My mom worked for a merle norman shop years ago and this type of service could not be tolerated. She practically made my mom put her makeup on herself...that is NOT professional! And she didn't know what to do most of the time. Because she didn't do any contouring I went out and bought some contouring powder from the nearby Walgreens and she didn't want any part of it. So I did my mom's contouring while she did her eyeshadow. So she was like "bet you feel like michael jackson right now don't you. With so many people working on you". I mean really....who hired these fake high society old kwaks? Of course there were no cars when we went in... how are they in business? No one should think this is normal.

This review is for the Salon at Ulta onlly, not the general store. I made an appointment for a blowout at this salon to try it out. I get my cuts and color somewhere else but it's nice to treat yourself to a blowout once and awhile. I tried them out because I had a coupon and it's close to home. I arrived for my appointment and checked in with what I thought was the receptionist. There was another walk in there that made an appointment for 30 minutes after me. There was only one person styling at the time so I thought there would be another stylist coming soon since there was two of us waiting and what kind of salon only has one stylist? I waited for almost 30 minutes and as soon as I was about to get up and leave she calls me back. The walk in that had an appointment 30 minutes after me was called back at the same time. This should have been my first clue to walk away but I wanted my blowout. The shampoo was fine and so was the blow dry, although the stylist didn't fix my hair how I asked. I got sleek and straight, which is my natural hair texture, when I asked for voluminous with a slight curl on the end. It took her almost AN HOUR to blow dry my hair!!! Every 7-10 minutes she would have to stop and consult the other stylist on how to do something or answer the phone as the receptionist had disappeared. This became very annoying, and again I almost told her I had to leave. I was here for a blowout an hour and fourty five minutes to get a simple wash and style and I didn't even come out with what I wanted. The walk in that came in after me got out of there quicker than I did. What a horrible experience!!!
