Vantage Blue Suburban

Wow- there is so much to say and so many details to what my kids and I went through and lost due to this company, but I will try to keep it short. I was going through a divorce, Advantage Blue Suburban was the company that was supposed to "help" us move. I did not know that the sales person had a meeting with the movers prior to coming to my house - the day before - (my ex set it up and it turned out Advantage Blue was working for him alone - not us,even though my ex hadn't lived there for 2 years) the movers were told to get as much stuff out as quickly as possible and not to let me know that the move was put under my ex's attourneys name and I would never see any of it again. Everything I ever had and ever worked for in my life was gone!! the kids beds, their toys,even their back packs with their homework, and books-we couldn't even check out books from the Naperville Library because their books were gone-the kids also couldn't check out books from school. I had later found out one of the movers smoked crack in my basement,2 other movers went out in the truck and smoked pot. I had found out it was a "free for all" because the movers weren't being watched. Many things were stolen, one of the movers stole and sold my antique headboard on ebay for $1800 he said. Many antiques,coins and jewlery were taken-one mover said something about my ex to another mover and asked how my ex tipped the day before-he laughed and said "don't worry I always make sure I get my tip" meaning that he steals things while packing. Blue Advantage would not take $ from me to get my things back -they said because my name was not on the account - yet they were in possession of everything I ever had. They let this go on for over a year racking up thousands of unnessasary charges- their charges were over $24,000. I did not have that kind of $ to pay for this - I tried to work with them - they wouldn't talk to me - I went in to talk to them- they wouldn't help- I had to get a court order from DuPage county just to get my computer- the judge set a deadline that they had to have it by because they would not cooperate at first- but then they at least gave me my computer - The kids and I had no beds, no furnature nothing!!! They did aknowledge that they knew of some of what went on and they addressed the drug problem by doing more testing. My whole house-all of our things- Advantage Blue Suburban in Lisle went to auction April 2007-We lost everything!! Advantage Blue has never made any attempt to resolve this. I'm still waiting.....

For the past 11 years, I have moved a total of 6 times and I would imagine that more will come. I would just like to say that my family and I had a very positive experience with Vantage Blue Suburban right from the beginning. I am glad they insisted on having a sales representative come to our home to provide an estimate. I learned that after my first move, I would never take a moving companies word for it when it comes to cost without them seeing what we were taking. I feel as though everyone in their organization, from the person that first contacted me to schedule an appointment down to the movers themselves did an exceptional job and alleviated many of my concerns. I had a great time in Chicago, especially seeing my beloved Cubs play live. This moving company definitely helped our family leave here with another positive memory. I will be sure to return when the Cubs reach the World Series.
