Carter Phillip

I would tell my friend that Dr. Carter is a wonderful, caring, professional who is easy to talk to and always explains him self in a way that anyone can understand. I began going to Lisbon Falls Family Health Center about five years ago in 2006. I had been having chest pains from a car accident on May 5, 2005. I had been to see many different doctors and hospitals about these chest pains and they all checked my heart, because it felt like my heart was pounding. None of the doctors or staff could figure out what was wrong with me and why I was in so much pain. Then one day I went to see a doctor at Lisbon Falls Family Health Center. I was shopping around for a new primary care doctor. I mentioned to the Doctor about my chest pains and he asked if It might be coming from my back. I wasn't sure, but the pain always started in my shoulders, neck, and upper back. Then it would start hurting my chest, it felt like I was having a heart attack. It was hard to breath and my heart felt like it was beating as if I had just ran a marathon, only it hurt. The Doctor did some work on my back and within a day or two the pain was gone. I couldn't believe it! He explained to me why I was getting the back pain and gave me some exercises to do at home. I have been with Lisbon Falls Medical Center ever sense. I live in Bath now and it's a long drive to Lisbon Falls, but it's worth it and I would travel further if I had to.
