General Info

I am a licensed psychologist providing testing, therapy and coaching services for children, adolescents and adults. Areas of specialty in my practice include psychological and educational assessment of specific learning disabilities, attention disorders (ADHD), and other cognitive/developmental challenges. In addition to testing, my practice focuses on treatment of ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders and adjustment through difficult life transitions. I utilize cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and strength-based approaches. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important indicators of success with therapy. Being comfortable with me is a critical component of our work together. My work as your therapist or coach is to provide an environment where you feel safe to explore obstacles that may be holding you back. Additionally, I work to make sure you feel understood and accepted, while also challenging you to work toward change. You will find therapy with me to be solution–oriented and goal-driven. Incorporated in sessions is client driven feedback, assessment of goals, and evaluation of progress. Goals are specific, measureable and time limited. Large goals are broken down into small, manageable pieces that can be implemented in 
a “step-by-step” manner. A common thread that underlies my approach is a belief in change. Small changes lead to larger changes. My role is to ignite the momentum of change within you, and then support you through sustaining those changes long term. The mechanisms we use to create this change may be different for each client. Some may benefit most from a traditional psychotherapy approach, whereas for others the flexibility and freedom involved with coaching is a better fit. Diagnostic tools such as testing often accompany these approaches, providing a clearer path to move forward with a targeted plan that utilizes strengths and works to overcome challenges. I will work with you to reach your goals.
