Aviva is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta for fresh and healthy Mediterranean food. It is located inside of Peachtree Center downtown and if you plan to visit for lunch, get there early! The line is always long! My recommendations include the falafel which is perfectly crispy on the outside but nice and soft in the middle. I also recommend the quinoa with tomatoes, squash and spinach and the roasted chicken. And for dessert you cannot leave without the baklava. It is the best Ive EVER had!
SO...Surprised someone hasn't posted a review for Taverna Plaka in awhile...this place is awesome- took a date here and it was really good food (you…

This is a totally unexpected spot located in a little strip mall across from Piedmont Park. You would never think this food is as good as it is - but it's one of my favorite Mediterranean spots in town. They have amazing pita and gyros and my absolute favorite tzatziki sauce in town. Not a great atmosphere, but it's always quick and I usually take it home to go. Parking is a little limited - make sure you don't park your car and walk off the property, as you'll immediately get booted.
This has become one of my favorite lunch spots. Everything on the menu is phenomenal and the service is fast. I personally love the Greek salad which comes with pita bread and tzatziki sauce. The portions are huge and they offer a great lunch special for only $8. This place never disappoints if you're looking for authentic Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food.
Hard to believe last week was my first visit to this Mediterranean hot spot! Kameel was greeting guests as they arrived for the lunch hour with falafel, which is delicious! After having a small sampling, I knew that I was getting the Falafel Sandwich Kameel Style. It's served with regular falafel, hummus and baba ghanoush. I will be back for more, no doubt!
I absolutely love this place! I got the chicken salad in a pita and half a greek salad. All their ingredients are fresh and wholesome, they make their signature oil and vinegar dressing there at the restaurant and boy oh boy is it good. I have never gotten anything from this restaurant that wasn't absolutely fresh and delicious. DEFINITELY recommend.
Food is excellent. I have personally recommended this restaurant to several people and they love it as well. The salad with the greek dressing is just one of the best. The kabobs come in chicken, steak, shrimp and salmon. The prices are great. They get you in and get you out of there.
I typically go to Zoe's kitchen when I need a quick lunch that kinda feels like homemade food. The entrees come with huge greek salads and the best hummus! I've had the salmon and zucchini kebabs and it's a nice meal that doesn't leave you feeling heavy.
One of the best dining experiences I've had this year. Although nondescript from the outside, the restaurant has an absolutely beautiful ambiance. The food is even better than the environment-- the Shirin rice is to die for. Order it and thank me later.
This a superior quality meal in a food court. I would pay double for the food if it were in a stand alone restaurant. Kameel is very welcoming. He even feeds you while you wait in line. Highly recommended.
I visited for the first time recently and LOVED this place! Food was super and the service was too. I am craving the babaganoush and can't wait to make it back there soon.
