The Mill Street employees have horrible attitudes and it starts at the top with it's management. As a business owner myself, I know that the customers are the reason I stay in business. This location needs to learn people skills quick or they will find their doors closed. People at the top should mentor their employees by their own actions! Also their prices have gone way too high. Why would I pay more for an item than I can get online for much less including shipping??? I have spent a lot of money at both locations over the last several years. Today was my last visit!
As a shopper, I have routinely found astonishing bargains here. Your money will go a lot farther if you are looking for a gift or something for yourself than it will in most antique stores. It is also like visiting a museum. There are all sorts of quirky things of value that you may never see anywhere else. It's my favorite store in Greensboro--or rather, they are my favorite stores, since there are two of them.
I've consigned a number of items with them and have always been pleased. They really know their furniture. when downsizing my parents' house, I was amazed at the wealth of knowledge he had about individual pieces. If something is priced higher than a new piece you see in the showroom it's because it's worth it for its quality and condition. This isn't a cheap second hand store - it's a place to find treasures at a great price.
