I had a really nice experience with Toyota. People there are nice and friendly, and Kamal is a great man he helped me to get the car that I want. I really like my new car and I am enjoying it, and the price was really good. I definitely recommended people to go to Toyota and get their car form there.
John Clayton's exemplary, 5+ Star professional service is the primary reason to consider returning to Grossinger Auto Group, especially after being with Toyota Lincolnwood for the past 12 years. John goes above and beyond to ensure customers are provided options in a non-pressure, no-nonsense and honest approach. John is very dedicated and highly knowledgeable in the auto services arena. He once again remained late after his end of day to take care of my urgent car care needs. It is this type of integrity and 5 Star customer care you'd wish to experience in today's economy. I have referred others to seek John for their auto care needs and felt this review was absolutely necessary. Thank you to John Clayton for his tireless efforts and 5 Star Excellence in service!!
I took my car in for service and Diane was fantastic. Even though it was really busy and she had to answer the phone and deal with other customers coming up and asking questions; she still provided exceptional customer service. She deserves a raise because whatever you pay her is not enough.
First let me say this is my first time ever having to leave anyone a negative review. My experience was so bad; I feel I owe the public a warning. I have bought some 40 vehicles in my life and this was the worst experience I have ever had. I live about 5 hours away from Grossinger Toyota, in Missouri. I put a deposit down and told them what day I would come get truck, (so it would be ready). I called the night before to make sure financing work was good and truck was ready. I called on my way 5 hrs before getting there and 1 hour before. I arrived at 2pm and was seen by financing department at just before 7 pm. Then when signing paper work, they could only fine one company to loan me money. It was their company Toyota, at 23% interest. I decided to just take it home and refinance it here, since I just loaned a truck here about 4 month ago at 7%. As soon as we left we saw that the odometer does not work, thank God for the warranty package we bought. A week later I took it to get inspected, being a Missouri resident they don’t except Illinois inspection. I found out is has about $1,500 worth of work that needs done. Maybe to be expected it is a used vehicle. However, it has two sway bar bushing shot and will not pass. I am sure IL. Has to consider that a safety issue as well. Grossinger said can’t help you probably broke them. So here I am with another $250 out of pocket on something that should have been done. Please help yourself and never buy a used vehicle from them.
Every time I go into Grossinger Toyota in Lincolnwood, I have nothing but the best results. Every employee in this facility is extremely courteous, friendly, and so informative. They take their time to explain everything that will be done and they work very efficiently and effectively. I love this group and would not take my vehicle anywhere else. Their Sunday hours are so convenient for me and I am thankful to have that option of going there. You guys Rock!!!!
Worst! Internet sales are a SCAM!
Run away. Run far. Run fast.
Grossinger Toyota advertised a 2008 Toyota Sequoia on the internet for $33,995. My friend negotiated the price of $32,000.00 on Friday, February 22, 2013. Internet salesman obtained the approval of the price from the manager, Shon Jennings.
My friend then books a one-way flight from South Carolina to Chicago to purchase the vehicle and drive it home.
He arrives on the lot the next day - Saturday, February 23, 2013. Conveniently, internet salesperson "did not turn in his paperwork" so Grossinger would not honor the negotiated $32,000.00 price. Conveniently, the internet salesman was not available that Saturday and Grossinger 'could not get hold of him.' [Sounds like they've done this a few times ...]
Knowing my friend had traveled a great distance using a one-way plane ticket, Grossinger - and specifically Shon Jennings - had the audacity to refuse to budge even a penny! Jennings did not even have the courtesy, the decency, or the kahunas to talk to my friend face-to-face to discuss. Jennings relayed through his salesman some made up story that - coincidentally - a customer was coming in the following Monday (this was on a Saturday) allegedly to purchase the vehicle at full price - so he would not take one cent less than list. [Can I hear a "yeah, right!"?]
With his only other option to be to return to the airport and book a flight home, my friend was forced to capitulate and had to pay $1,995.00 more for the Sequoia than the internet salesman confirmed on the phone the day before.
This is my people do not buy cars from internet advertising by dealerships and you should not do business with this one.
