Me and my husband went here and ordered ribs fried chicken with coleslaw and fries the ribs are very dry the fried chicken has not even no flavor to it including no salt the fries were saturated with oil so they were mushed by the time we got him home.
Very disappointed will not return and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone
When asked to honor prices from their website, they deny they have a website. Then they deny that zukinsribshack.com is their website. They have one particular order taker who is not only inaudible but will lie to get you off the phone as above. I worried I had called some Washington, DC campaign office by mistake.
Pass them by until they have decided they are interested in running a rtestaurant rather than a racket.
best ribs in the world. some people write bad reviews becasue they may be jjealous of employees may be more attractive than herself? I dont know but this place is sweet and great. Maybe the manager wasnt interested in her, but it seems like that was the basis for the negativity. lol

Let me be 100% honest. The service is slow and terrible because the manager hires on the basis of what girls he likes to look at and he gets away with it because he is the owners nephew.
NO ONE wears gloves or washes their hands and those rib kabobs you all love so much? Poked through with the stick using the same bare dirty hands that write the bills, answer the phones and take orders.
The sauce is Open Pitt so if you love it so much go the grocery and pick some up it isn't anything special.
Everything except the pizza's and subs are precooked and reheated using the grill or the fryers and some bbq sauce is splattered on top.
You'd be surprised what else I could remember about this place if I had more than a minute and a half to think about it and believe me you would never eat there again if you REALLY knew what went on and how COMPLETELY UNSANITARY it is in there!

You gotta get the PU PU Platter which is jumbo shrimp, ribs, spring rolls, onion rings, and a roll. I agree the ribs are great and the rib kabobs are the best. Been eating here for 30 years. The Friday fish fry is one of the best downriver for a super cheap price. Three nice pieces of fish, coleslaw and fries can't be beat.

The fries are always cold. They use Open-Pit and I think the meat quality has gone down. I used to swear by Zukin's, now I don't even bother. The pizza stinks! Could they at least use real cheese?!? I walked in to place an order, waited 15 minutes for it and it was cold. I had to walk three houses away...in the summer and it was cold!

and now still is one of the best. Ribs and chicken are the best in town, but you gotta try the scallops...men, they're good!. But the best of all are the KABOBS! Nobody can resist them. Sorry you can`t eat in there.
There`s a lot parking, safe place and fast service. If you want my advice, make your order once in there, so you can take your food when still hot...you will not wait over 10 minutes and it worth it!
I would like to know if there`s a e-mail adress of Zukin`s rib shack. If anybody can help me, my e-mail is:

I mean no disrespect, but Zukin's did not live up to my expectations. Being fairly new to the area I Zukins was recommended to me by several friends for some good 'cue. Unfortunately, many in this area believe that barbecue is grilling something and putting sauce on it. I am a fan of traditional southern bbq (ala memphis, kansas city) and this was not it. The ribs and chicken that I had tasted as if they were pre cooked and slapped on the grill to warm and covered in open pit. I prefer a smokier bbq. My opinion might not be popular in this area but I wasn't impressed.

Some of the best BBQ in the metro Detroit area. The rib and chicken can't be beat. My favorite is called the ""Gizmo"". It's ribs, shrimp (just the right amount of breading), fries and bun. The fries are average and the bun is usualy a brick but so what the main dishes more than make up for it. The portions are good sized and should fill even the hearyest appitites. The price for what you get is very fair. If you live Downriver/SW Detroit and get a craving for BBQ get to Zukin's now!
FYI. This is not a sit-down type BBQ, get your food and go home.
