I have been a long time resident of Denver and unfortunately my stylist moved away. So, a friend recommended Vida salon to me, but warned me of the pretentious nature of its stylists. She advised not to go to Bradley, Vinny or Emily because they always seemed to have personal issues interfering. So, I went to Emma being she was available and I figure was safe. Wrong. Lets start with the cut. I realize the younger kids want funky but I asked for a modest normal cut, and got something opposite. I'm not sure if it was an attempt at style or just a lack of talent, but it wasn't what I wanted. Then, the color. Again, I'm not sure if it was an attempt at style being she is pushing the frumpy cute level herself, but I did not get a color that was right. Blond is blond, not goldish...the whole thing was a disaster. Maybe she is new and learning but I think the prices didn't reflect that and someone should have told me I was a guinea pig. The funny thing is, I also overheard Emily discussing her hangover from the night before, with one of the other stylists, which I find extremely tacky and unprofessional. Anyhow, I will not be retuning to Vida.
Jackie is the best hairstylist I've ever had! I've tried so many places here in the Denver area - and never go back to any of them more than once. I'm not picky, I just know when it looks right and feels right. Her personality - awesome! She makes you feel really comfortable and welcome. Jackie is extremely knowledgeable, always keeping up with the latest trends, products, and techniques. Hair color - awesome! Color is always exactly the way I want it! I'm a very dark chocolate brunette and the color and highlights always turns our gorgeous! And the best thing - my hair continues to look healthy and shiny. Haircut - awesome! The most important thing for me is how you hair looks after I wash and style it myself for the first time. After my hair cut/hair color I just simply blow dry it - no styling needed - and it does look really good! I'm not a type of person who likes to spend more than 15 min styling hair at home. The easier the better! And now Jackie opened her own place - Salon 17. Congrats!! "
Eva is the BEST!!! I have suffered with a chronic illness that makes my eyebrows/eyelashes fall out in chunks. After years of mashing my symthoms I looked over all the areas Permanent Makeup Artists and was bless by God with Eva the price was way below average, her customer service is AAA++, she welcomes you into her home like in old friend (don't be confused her entire basement is a salon with a separate entrance) she worked endlessly with me well into the evening hours designed my brows to my liking and with my instruction (she delivers what you want, instead of you getting what she makes you into) then she started the process there was NO PAIN or discomfort. She worked on my brows until they were PERFECT. They are more then I could ever have hoped for. She did my free touch up 4 weeks later and didn't really have to do anything she turned me into a work of art the first time. A Large percentage of her customers have some sort of illness she is a godsend with magic hands. Cyndi W
I have fallen love with Ergo salon, Aveda, the girls at the front desk (they're all beautiful inside & out), and my newest love is the awesome adorable Kylie who styled my hair today! I've been needing this for a while, but just didn't know who to trust. I've had some bad experiences and I've done worse myself. I was sure when I told Kylie to remove the dead & damaged hair, that she was going to have to shave my head bald! But it wasn't as bad as I thought since I've been using Aveda. And Kylie fixed me! And my hair too of course! She gave me a style that I love, and that was just for starters! She used products that made my hair look and feel so healthy-even after all the damage I've done! She's also convinced me to come back so she can do a color- the real way, not out of a box, which is all I've ever used. She taught me things about my own hair that I didn't even know and she even showed me how to blow dry my hair so I can get the same look at home myself!
Diego Huizar at Salon Vo is phenomenal!!! My last good stylist moved back to Russia and I floated around for a year or two with bad hair. I saw Salon Vo while leaving my appointment at Dr. Reval's office, and met Diego after reading other positive reviews of his online. He is SO very talented. He looks the part, acts the part, is a true artist, approachable and friendly. He trained under the very best in Cherry Creek, and it's very obvious when you visit him. He is no amateur. Diego quickly turned my cruddy hair into beautiful, shiny, gorgeous hair with a great shape. The color he does is the best I've ever had, and the best I've ever seen. His smoothing treatments are life changing, and my new cut allows me to wake up, do my hair fast and efficiently, and I have never received so many compliments in my life! Don't waste your time going elsewhere. Diego has the magic touch, and his talents and service are unmatchable. And, he's SUPER nice!!
Moving 600 miles means finding lots of new personal service providers. It often takes a while to find someone you really like to do your hair. I randomly selected Ergo Aveda based on its Stapleton location. My initial consultation was with Eddie Romero. What a lucky break for me! Eddies impressed me with his analysis skills - my hair, my face type, my skin, my lifestyle. What he thought would work for me and why. I've had two appointments with him now, and a third coming up. My color match is excellent. The new cut Eddie suggested gets me lots of compliments. He is young, smart, creative, and fun - an up and comer! You'd be very smart to check him out! Also, the salon is excellent in communicating with you regarding appointments and such. Parking is easy and the salon atmosphere is friendly and inviting.
While in town for a wedding they were able to fit me and my friend in for color and cuts. The hostesses were great at pointing out bars that I could kill time at when I misjudged the time and showed up way too early. My stylist Arica was kind and very very competent. It went quickly and was affordable for the quality of work done. My color came out a little darker than I'd wanted but I think it is because stylists don't often believe that I want the color I'm saying. I think that if I were to return again it would come out perfect. I am extremely happy with this place and feel like my gamble paid off. I would HIGHLY recommend Arica in particular. She was kind, not an annoying chatty person, interesting, and she never made me feel stupid or ugly like some high end stylists tend to do. Ask for her!
I genuinely recommend Advanced Hair Studio India to people who suffer from hair loss. I started losing my hair when I was 17. With a few recommendations, I visited Advanced Hair Studio Delhi. I wanted to seek professional advice to resolve the condition of my hair. The guidance was helpful and reassuring. The staff clearly informed what treatment would suit my hair best. Within 4-5 months, I had already started noticing changes. The thinning had stopped and the patches had almost disappeared. Once the therapy was done, my hair looked thicker and healthier. The medication cleared the dandruff and brought changes in areas where hair follies were alive. I am delighted with the outcome. Today I do not hesitate before speaking to anyone. All thanks to Advanced Hair Studio India.
Mikael Padilla salon is a great experience. Everything from the design of the salon to all the stylists reassures you that you are going to walk out feeling fabulous. Everyone is well put together but in a fun and funky way. I have been seeing my stylist, Alex Mackison for over 10 years and can't imagine seeing anyone else. I love to change up my hair and Alex always knows exactly what to do. I don't have to give him ideas or show him pictures. He just knows what to do and does it. I have never left feeling unhappy with my hair and am constantly complimented. I have friends who come to town just to see Alex. If you love a great experience when you get your hair done visit Alex at Mikael Padilla. I promise you will leave wishing your appointment wasn't over.
Catherine Sandy is like my favorite aunt, who's also an expert at doing hair! I can't say enough good about her and her Hair House--I feel so lucky to have found her and in my own neighborhood of South Denver! I wish everyone at DU would go try her out. She'd be too busy then for me to get an appointment! :) The salon is quaint with a lot of personality and her prices are almost too good to be true, better than you will find anywhere else (for the quality). I showed her a couple photos, ideas I had for my next style and she went to work. She just knows what she's doing. She isn't old fashioned and really understand what I try to describe in my layman's terms. Call her, go visit and make an appointment. She is a hidden treasure!
