If you've read my other reviews you know I'm extremely critical about the food in Lincoln. That being said, I think El Chaparro is the best Mexican place in town. I've never eaten at the north Lincoln location, just at the South 13th location. I've had several items on the menu, and almost all of them were great. From 5 chorizo tacos on soft corn shells with cilantro and onions for 5 bucks, to the Chipotle chicken, it was all wonderful. You have several choices of meats, and they can be your choice in almost any dish. The menu selection is huge, with several seafood items available. I'm still working my way through the entire menu, and it's been a real treat. The service is great, the servers are all extremely nice and capable, and I've rarely gotten a wrong order other than on a couple of take outs. The place is open late, but there is a crowd usually around 9-11 in the evening. No matter what time you go, you're guaranteed a great meal!

A St. Market has a surprisingly wide selection of good, fresh produce, quality meat and many specialty items tucked onto their shelves. They have some good sale prices and those can be comparable to or better than other, bigger, groceries. The staff is both young, courteous and vibrant as well as delightfully experienced and faultlessly customer- focused. I feel like I matter to them and that my dollar is supporting a lot of local people. This is a small store but they have a lot to offer both high and low on the shelves and items both more or less expensive. I have never been disappointed at A St. Market.
The food was better than expected with a name like O'Kelly's on a Mexican restaurant. The salsa was remarkably fresh for late winter- great tomato flavor. The rest was a bit better than average. Tap beer selection was poor but the Margarita's were the obvious choice around the tables ( did not try one). Wait staff was a bit too cheery for me, helpful but less than sincere, but we did dine just ahead of closing.
The tamales here are the best in Lincoln. Too bad the rest of the food isn't as good. Everything seems to be made exactly the same, with either a different sauce or different meat, but it all has the same taste and the same texture. The vegetarian is really bland and unimaginative. I have to agree that this is NOT a Mexican restaurant. It's a Americanized version, and a boring one at that.
Great Dinner My husband took me here for my Birthday dinner. The food was good and the staff were friendly. I had a Margarita with my dinner. Strawberry to be exact, it was delicious. For desert I had a mini chimi cheesecake. Mmmm. When we were done the check came very fast. No real wait time for anything dinner/check/drink. I like this place.
The cashier we had was too busy talking to the customer that was ahead of us, we felt like we should move to another register. When I commented on it she got a little snippy. Items seemed harder to locate than the one in Fallbrook. So I don't thin I don't see myself coming back to the 48th St store. The cashiers name was Melanie, time was8:17am
I miss Tico's SOOOOO much!!! Since I moved to the west coast, I have not been able to find the same quality Mexican food I enjoyed here - thanks for the great food and drinks!! I guess I will have to settle for frequent visits to Lincoln to get my "Chile Relleno fix"!
This is a new venture by the HyVee Company, serving a neighborhood with the smaller size store that has everything they need, within walking distance of many elderly people. An excellent model that more larger stores should use. The neighborhood absolutely loves it!
D'Leon's has good food. Some people may prepare food better than others still tastes good. And everyone should also think about how it came to be and how a person has to take care of this restaurant. Respect. Good Mexican food.
Please change the business hours on yelp. It's open until 9pm not 10pm. Long drive from San Francisco to Chicago and wanted some food from here and saw on yelp it was open until 10pm so I arrived at 915pm...15 minutes too late
