***BEWARE!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!*** We have been in the home we rented from Scott Properties for two months, and within that time have had to pay for landscaping because the yard had not been touched in seven years (per our neighbors), deep cleanings, carpet cleanings, pest control, and now bat removal from a home we do not own. From the day my family & I have moved in, there was issue after issue and this property management company has been completely awful at holding the Landlord accountable to upkeep their home. We submitted countless amounts of work orders when we moved in because the previous tenant did not pass any of their move out requirements prior to us moving in (house was filthy, things were broken, power sockets were missing/falling off, etc). We also were misled to believe we would have access to the community amenities such as the community pool & the YMCA, however we were told after we moved in that the Landlord had not paid their HOA & were at odds with the community (go figure). I can assure you that you DO NOT want to do any business with this company, and the second we are able to move we will never rent another house that has their name on it. Their employee (Diana) needs additional training on how to communicate with her clients rather than tell them "hey we did not know that you would not have access to the amenities, but you are responsible for bats that you did not know were there either". INSANE! If you want peace of mind, & a company who truly lives out their credo that they "strive to exceed property owner and tenant expectations every time without exception", Scott Properties is NOT it. Unless you are the exception, but that is a completely different issue. Period.

I had a check come out of my account, kind of like auto draft. It was sent to scott properties back on 11/2015. The check was never signed by me at all. They are sending me to court/trying to prosecute me for this worthless check. I do not have the funds to pay Lexington County at all. I tried to setup a payment plan instead they shot me down, told me that I needed to pay the full amount. I am a college student with financial needs as well working for $10.25. The least they could have done was let me setup arrangements to pay. These people were nice at first but are very sneaky. The check only has my name on it far as I know but no signature. The property was nice at first but everything started to break. I tried to schedule maintenance but no one showed up. I probably don't know what to do know. I will probably lose my job because I can not pay these people back right now.
If I could give them zero stars, I would! I rented from them for 2 years and unfortunately, it has not been a pleasant experience. They charged my husband and I $350 for paint damage that wasn't even our fault. We keep getting excuses and no explanations. Their itemized list of charges for paint just had a lump sum of $350 with no individual breakdown of the exact dollar amount for each room/space that was painted. The invoice stated that the kitchen was painted, but somebody crossed it out and wrote MBR. They haven't sent us pictures like they said they were going to and have been giving us the runaround. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! They are crooks!
They have really taken the headache out of having a rental property. They are extremely responsive and very proactive with reaching out with questions or concerns regarding my property. I know my property is in good hands with Scott Properties.
They're awful, you always end up paying more than you bargained for when renting from them.
Rogers Property Management Inc (RPMI) has been the property manager of my mobile home located at Basin Rock Ln since 2002. I have not had any problems with them within this time. In fact, out of the 12 years, there was only one time that my home was not rented for a period of three months. In addition, there really has not been a high turnover rate in tenants while RPMI has been managing my property. Even when there was an issue with a tenant RPMI took care of it right away. Heck, when I visited last time to inspect my property, arrangements were made prior to my arrival without complication. As far as upkeep, I can only say that I can rely on them 100% to ensure repairs are necessary and within budget. Lastly, I would like to say that I live in upstate New York and this is still not a hindrance with the business of managing my mobile home. They are a great group of people who take care of their tenants as well as the owners of the properties they manage
This business and the people that work there are top shelf. They are professional, compassionate and bend over backwards to accommodate all parties. People who are not happy typically are the ones who want something for nothing or are never satisfied. Sad to see that their misery with themselves is vented towards this long standing, quality company. I have worked with Rogers for over 5 years and I know what I'm talking about.
I'm a little stunned to read the other reviews because our experience with Rogers Property Management couldn't have been any different. In fact, I HIGHLY recommend them to those looking for rental property in the area. We live in North Carolina and for 11 years they managed a rental house for us in Lexington with no gaps in the rentals. The repairs were few, infrequent, and definitely legitimate. They always took care of them with great speed but only after consulting with us first. Since It was a long term rental property, we surveyed our renters to make sure they were satisfied with our property management and it was unanimous - they all were! When we listed the property to sell, Rogers Property Management worked closely with us to find a renter who could accommodate showings without any hiccups or inconvenience to the renter. There is no question that if we ever have another rental property in that area of South Carolina, we will most certainly use them!

We are renting a condo through them, and may end up getting a lawyer because Lynn tried to con us into stepping out of our lease early because of issues we have had with the AC not working and leaking through the walls, which was never repaired (a loooong story), the dishwasher needing repair and other issues, saying the owner felt bad and would pay for our move if we decided to leave early, no penalties. We said that wouldn't be necessary, as the ac was finally working and things were back to normal, and moving would cost a lot. We did ask that due to the expense of having to stay in hotels with our kids a few times because of the AC issue as well as the outrageous electric bill from the AC constantly running for 2 months trying to cool the condo, that maybe a reduced rent amount or a forgiveness of the rent for the month of September would be better all around for all of us. Almost a month with no response (we emailed several times) and we finally got a response. Turns out, the owner just wanted to get rid of the expense of the rental property and move in, but decided to just rent an apartment herself since WE TOOK TOO LONG TO ANSWER!!!! Lynn KNEW the true situation from the get go and deliberately misled us. Now our rent is a week late because we had not heard from her and were not going to pay if we didn't have to. They are a shady group, especially Lynn. Not to be trusted.
