great place friendly and I'm always amazed that they know my name without me having to tell them after only a few times of coming in there
I took my expensive new Croscill thick, winter-time comforter to Hart's to be drycleaned 2 years in a row. Each time the comforter came back with oily-looking drycleaning solvent stains all over and a headache-inducing chemical scent that would not dissipate, due to their not getting the comforter all the way dry before removing it from the heat, according to them. Both years it had to be sent back and re-cleaned immediately upon receipt to try to do a better job. This year (the 2nd year), when the comforter was returned to me after being re-cleaned after the bad first job, they had somehow ruined (as in permanently damaged) the fabric all across both ends. It looks like part of the fabric has been permanently shrunk, and the rest of the fabric around it is normal, so now the fabric is all bunchy, shrunken, won't hang right and looks damaged. In addition, the comforter was LOADED with someone else's hair! Disgusting! And they still charged me $26 for doing this. Wow. I'm so sorry it took me a 2nd year to learn my lesson - never again will I use Hart's! Most everyone else's reviews also are stating that Hart's has a penchant for damaging items and returning things dirty. Also, the employees in the store show a very bored, lifeless, who-cares attitude.
I will never use Hart's again. The Hart's in Beaumont is an embarrassment to all dry cleaning companies everywhere. The first time they messed up my clothes, I had them clean about 8 pieces, which included skirts and suit pants/jackets. The pieces came back more wrinkled than before I dropped them off. The main supervisor at Hart's would not refund my money but agreed to redo the wrinkled pieces and gave me 10 pieces for free (he apparently forgot and later tried to tell me he only promised me 8).This past weekend, I picked up some cardigans from Hart's in Beaumont that had been sent off to be pressed. They did not need to be cleaned as I had just bought them--they only needed to be pressed. When I picked them up, the shirts were creased in the middle where they hung on hangers and had huge indentations in the sweater where it had been folded before being placed on the hanger. I had 5 cleaned and am now worried that the cardigans are ruined. I will NEVER EVER go back to Hart's again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I took a little sundress to be cleaned with a spot on the front. They marked the spot but when I picked up the dress, the spot was clearly still there and they charges me $12.00. I will never use Hart's again. They are clearly substandard with their service and ridiculously priced. Also, their staff is pathetic!
If I could give this business a negative star rating I would. This business displayed the same callous attitude to us that several other customers described. They ruined two dress shirts by staining one, front and back, and causing a tear in the sleeve of another. When shown the damage, they denied any responsibility. The owner herself was rude and offensive. Guess she has gotten a lot of flak from other disappointed customers and has an attitude ready to go! Wish I had read all the other on line negative reviews before going to Pam's Dry Cleaning. This was my first and LAST time going there. I lost two dress shirts, but they have lost their reputation!
