NEED more STARS!!! Jack and Jill Learning Academy is the best place for a child. The ENTIRE STAFF has made my daughter and I feel . The time and compassion that is given to each child is unlike anywhere else I have ever experienced. The teachers know each child's personality and treat them all like family. I highly recommend this facility to any person wanting to make sure their child is safe and well taken care of! The curriculum program at JJLA provides has improved my daughters reading to the level needed in just 3 short months. She is more confident and ready to start her new year in elementary school ! We will miss Ms. Bennett, Ms. Kathy and Ms. M very much. I appreciate every single staff member !!! Mrs. Didi's morning greetings and Mrs. Sri always keeping me updated on my daughters academic progress. Mrs. Sri you are doing a great job providing service to the area and the enrolled children. Thank you for taking care of us this summer. JJLA is highly recommended by our family!
Mr. Chip K: We respect your perspective and beliefs; however, there was no red mark on your son's face when you picked him up on the day of your alleged incident nor was there a mark on his face the following morning when your wife dropped your son off at school. Nevertheless, we immediately reached out to the Texas State Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to have an independent investigation conducted. After 4 hours of onsite investigation, there were no findings to support your claim. Mrs. Freeman has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from BYU and is a certified teacher who has been teaching early childhood for more than 10 years with kindness, compassion and proven results. JJLA has an open-door policy welcoming parent observation at any time.
I was under the impression that this was a great place for our son to be going but man was I wrong. First, our son was labeled the naughtiest kid in the school. This we learned at our parent teacher conference months after he started attending. If you knew our son you would laugh just as we did when we heard this. Especially since we had never been approached about his 'bad' behavior before the conference.
Then a few weeks later I pick up my son and he has these red marks running along each side of his face. He was acting very different than he usually does and when we got home I asked him what happened to his face. He then told me how his teacher, Mrs. Jodee Freeman, smacked him in the face. We immediately took our son out of the school. I then waited an entire week and asked him again what happened and he told me the exact same story. So I'm writing this so that other parents will be aware of how this school treats their students.
Last summer I looked long and hard for a preschool that would help my sensitive son to develop the social and academic skills he'd need to survive in the public schools. At the time, I was very concerned about his ability to handle the stresses of a large kindergarten. Once I toured Jack and Jill Learning Academy and met with the director, I knew I'd found the answer! The fact that each teacher is degreed in elementary or early childhood education and is certified in their specific areas of instruction (i.e. math, reading, social studies, etc.) was impressive. My son thrived in their program. The class sizes are kept small, so each child gets a lot of individual attention and help. There is a big focus on learning proper social skills and manners as well. The academic program is amazing. My son loved the rotation of classes, which kept his interest and fulfilled his need to move and change settings every so often. The Pre-K program in this school is stellar, and I know my son is now more than ready to start Kindergarten in the fall. Because of this school, he is reading, writing simple stories, adding and subtracting, and even speaking a bit of Spanish! Thank you, JJLA, for giving my son the gifts of confidence and learning!
My rating for Jack and Jill learning academy is 5, because, the director and all its personal are great people, with a nice charisma, and the education for my kid it was outstanding, I can be sure now that my daughter will be doing a great job in kindergarten thanks of all knowledge she received in this school. Not being more , I just highly recommend this school.
I am blown away by what my children have learned while attending Jack & Jill Learning Academy. I have enrolled my children in other Preschools but quickly found them to me nothing more than a glorified daycare. Jack & Jill Learning Academy provided us Academics incomparable to the offerings at the other preschools. Having one child in Elementary School, I feel like my recent graduate of Jack & Jill Learning Academy is going into Kindergarden above the level that most Kindergardeners start at. I believe that the success my child will have in school will be in large part due to the academics and learning structures taught by Jack & Jill Learning Academy.

This program has been in the Flower Mound/Lewisville area for several years and I'm amazed as to the quality of teachers and curriculum at this school. There are a few other Reading Friends programs in the Ft. Worth area, but I'm sure glad they have a school in our area. I believe the program was started about 20 years ago and know it is incredibly recognized in that area. I can attest to the same for this school.
Reading Friends has provided our child with a solid academic foundation to reach for the stars! The multi-sensory phonics advantage curriculum has truly empowered each individual child. My son?s self-confidence, vocabulary development, and life skills amaze me. As a parent I could not be more proud of his development and progress. Every staff member is an incredible person in their own right and more importantly they are loving, warm and nurturing. Their passion is evident.
Reading Friends is definitely a structured academic program ? not daycare or mother?s day out. They focus on children ages 2 ? 5 and have started a private kindergarten program. Class is quite structured, but the curriculum is always fun and appealing to the children. In fact, I?d even say that I don?t think the curriculum of any other preschool in the whole area even compares to the multi-sensory curriculum at Reading Friends.
I would highly recommend the school and the program to anyone. Hands down, it is simply the best.
