I have been in Garland for a couple of years. I consider Austin my adopted hometown and I miss it constantly. This place soothes my Austin-homesick soul. Young, hip musician staff. Great restored old building. Funky atmosphere mixed with great coffee and friendly service (not hipster snobbi…

10. Cafe Brazil
They have a study room in the back if you need to plug in a laptop, which makes this place in my opinion a slightly better place to study than the Cafe Brazil on Central. This Cafe Brazil is also less trafficed than the one on Central. The prices seem to be the same across all Cafe Brazils.
Love this diner! There are about 2 places that serve all vegan food (and this is one of them) in Fort Worth so I am certainly happy they are here. The blue plate special keeps the frequenter pleasantly surprised. And the dessert...AMAZING!
We went on a Thursday morning at 9. There were maybe 8 tables of customers and 7 waitstaff. Service was excellent and the food was great. They have all the favorites, Hevous Rancheros, Migas Etc., I had the Migas and couln't finish them. The wife had scrambled eggs and bacon, both meals came wit…
I love this place! I'm Mexican so I'm usually pretty critical of Mexican restaurants. Esperanzas has great service, great food and according to my husband the best menudo he's ever had!
17. Marquez Bakery
I seeked this bakery after seeing their torillas in Wal-mart. Not wanting to buy day-old torillas from the supermarket, I directly went to the bakery in Grand Prairie. To my surprise, their torillas were less than appealing. According to the bakery, they had been made that day. But when we got h…

21. Mercado Juarez
We have been going here almost since it opened. The service has always been good. The hot sauce is sometimes a little too hot but it is the best and its addictive. My whole family will hardly go anywhere else. My husband and I both have gotten the beef fajitas and ours have always been tender.
This is one of our favorites. Food is exceptional. Love the hot sauce and the apple pie dessert is the best ever! Our service has always been a+. We eat there often and have never had anything but a great experience.
23. Ham & Eggs
If you want an amazingly fresh breakfast with enough servings for 3 on each plate, this is your place. A personal favorite are the softball sized biscuits! Try to avoid the owner though, she is not nice at all. The rest of the staff has been very polite in my experience.
24. Taco Cabana

If you like a fluffy, fresh tasting cake according to what you ordered DON'T come here. I ordered a $55 plain white birthday sheet cake for my mom's birthday and what I received was what tasted like pumpkin spice cake. Even the cake wasnt white, it was a yellow cake. The batter had either been overbeaten or the cake itself was just plain old. It was extremely dry, the top was hard, and it crumbled apart when you tried to put your fork through it. There was a miniscule layer of icing on the cake also. Seven people tried the cake, and no one could finish their (small) slices. My dad took 90% of the cake back to Irene's and he was told the most they could do is give us 20% off of our NEXT order, because they know well enough we would not come back to use the discount. My dad has been a small business owner in Old Town Lewisville for over 30 years, if anyone knows something about customer service, it's him. If we were given some appropriate form of refund I would not be writing this review, despite the terrible cake that no one could eat. Save your money and buy a cake from Market Street.
I like Big Bundts is tucked away in the Shops of Castle Hills in Lewisville. You walk in and you’re immediately hit with the smell of fresh bakery goods. Seating is available to enjoy your treat. They have various sizes of cakes from Big Old Bundt (8” and 10”), Bubble Bundt and mini Bundt are sold by the dozen. The taste is not overwhelming and the portions are just right. Check them out. I would recommend the Pecan bubble bundt.
This used to be our favorite place for Mexican in Lewisville. This is where we would take family and friends when in town. A couple of years ago it changed management or something and the food tasted extremely different. Tried a few times after and it didnt get much better.
The restaurant is nice and clean inside and the staff are pleasant. The free chips and salsa is a nice added touch and taste good!. However, the fajita meat is so fake (it really tastes a lot like the fake Fajita meat marinated in those pre-package pouches with chicken or beef in them from Kroger. Definitely too soft to be fresh steak and/or chicken -- taste weird! Not an authentic Mexican restaurant that's for sure!! If you like easy fake Mexican food -- this is your restaurant. It is pricey for what you get. It's sad when you think the food at Rosa's Café down the street taste better than what you got! Anyhow, they are definitely are taking short cuts -- which more than likely the majority of people probably don't even notice if they never had real Mexican food before! However, they can't fool me, because I know what yummy authentic Mexican food should taste like. My suggestion for the managers at Fresco's Mexican Restaurant is to buy fresh meat and marinate it themselves, and have it grilled the authentic Mexican way, or else more people will stop eating there. I will try it again in a couple of months to see if they actually are starting to grill fresh meat -- not using that fake pre-package crap. :-)
Great food and service. Love it when the salsa is extra hot. We go her often, and have never had a problem. Much friendlier than many of the larger chains. My kids love the games they can play while waiting. My only complaint is the choice of music (or lack of ) in the jukebox.
Este es el mejor pan dulce que he probado.... autenticamente mexicano.
