Sara Alto is completely unprofessional. Does as little as possible and pawns me off on other providers when its way out of their scope of practice. United Ambulance Home Visit Program cant address a possible medication reaction. Sara Alto got called on her falsifying medical records and to properly document my medical records. She not only ignored the comment, she turned around and started to get condescending with myself and two other witnesses in the room. Since when is falsifying medical records and document accurately not unethical and illegal.
What she claimed was an untreated condition, turned out to be Stage 3 Appendiceal Cancer, Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. My appendix had been perforated for 2 years according to providers with how sick I was. I have now been put through 5 surgeries since October 15, 2019. Talk about ridiculous.

Don't expect to be treated, or well for that matter. The nurse practitioners- specifically Sara Alto, do as little as possible. You are a lab value. I've lost 41 lbs on my own and still get crap for weight. My needs haven't been addressed; had to go to ER for things that could have been taken care of with an office visit. Having a hysterectomy next week that I was told was just thyroid related ( abdominal pain and gas). I'm well versed in medical, issues, having been in nursing myself and a degree in human bio and illness.

Overall

I set up an appointment with Kristienna Martin, FNP, after having extreme panic attacks; so disabling that I had to stop going to work. I'm new to the area, so I knew that my first appointment with her would be to establish a new relationship with St. Mary's. What I didn't expect was the lack of compassion and knowledge I would receive from Martin.

I had about half an hour in the office, and I was on the edge of tears most of the time because it's extremely hard to talk about depression, anxiety and panic attacks. Martin repeatedly cut me off mid sentence to 'get to the point', stared at the computer screen and told me everything was related to my anxiety. I suspected this was the case, but she offered no resolve other than to put me back on a prescription I had taken before-- without even asking me if it had worked -- and I had to ASK for counseling. She also told me that I could 'go off of [antidepressant] anytime' -- I know for a FACT this is not true due to having friends and family in the medical field and doing extensive research on the matter last time I had taken the prescription drugs. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it's extremely dangerous. Instantly I began to question whether or not anything she would say would be true. I had brought notes along to read to her, which was disregarded as well. When I tried to read to her she told me to 'let her talk for a second' and that 'I've been reading my *little notes* the whole time.'

Never once did I get an empathetic smile, or an "It'll be okay. We'll get this straightened out." In fact, she repeatedly let me know how much time we had left. Three times, up until I was mid-sentence into one of my biggest concerns that I wanted some assurance on, that she said, "Ok, we've got a minute left". I had to practically beg for a blood test as well.

She made me so uncomfortable... I've never felt so disregarded in my life. I understand I'm in a more sensitive state of mind with the issues I am experiencing but I know how doctors should interact with their patients, especially those that are in a more fragile state-of-mind. Even when I told her she wasn't very warm, she quickly said, 'That's fine, you can request another doctor next time."

I wouldn't recommend Martin to anyone, unless you want to be rushed and given a quick fix. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the office was clean, I was seen quickly and the lady that took my blood was very caring and friendly.
