I had everything i own stolen from me and asked for a portion of my policy back. Here was the response i got. PLEASE READ ALL. However i do not appreciate you emailing me hours later when you told me you would call right back in "5 to 45 minutes" fact is i have been displeased with your service at Mel Hawk for some-time now. Amy was great to work with when i first came to your agency when she moved the service i received there after decreased monumentally. E.g. Not calling me when my bill is due (You provide no other Service then to collect money for State Farm) You have let my policy cancel before due to this… I was robbed and informed your 24 hour hotline as soon as i could the same day after dealing with the police, they informed me they would check with your office and inform you of the loss the next day. Days and weeks had gone by and still no one from your office even called to check on how my claims process was going or see if i needed to setup coverage for a new car… after all this isn't the last house or car that I'm ever going to own. But i can confidently say this will be the last policy i ever hold with Mel Hawk or State Farm. (BTW: My claims process was terrible State Farm's claims office had to nit pick everything i listed and ask for receipts for things people got me over five years ago then suggested i call friends and family and ask for receipts or bank statements...) Everything of value was stolen from my home including my car… And your idea of fair is withholding a small portion of my policy due to a technicality that your office has imposed on my situation. I will make sure any and all of my family members and friends with Mel Hawk or State Farm policy's know how you treat your clients. As well as posting this online where ever i can.
