I loved shopping for my wedding dress here! The people who work here are so friendly. Megan was so great in helping me find the perfect dress!
Brides on a Budget has basically ruined my best friend's wedding. I went there in January to order a dress for the wedding in June, the ladies that were working at the time seemed like they were annoyed that I was there, and weren't very helpful in helping me find a dress. I told them I wasn't sure what size I wore, and instead of measuring me, they just gave me two dresses to try on. I was only given two dresses to try on, with no effort to find a different one, neither of the dresses were what I was looking for, but they assured me they could order what I needed. They made me pay for a third of a dress that they didn't have in the store and that I had no idea what it would like. So, I paid them 83 dollars..6 weeks went by before they told me that my dress had arrived. Then, it was a nightmare to get an appointment to come try it on. When I finally got an appointment when I went to the shop they told me they were busy because a bunch of girls had just come to try on prom dresses and to come back in an hour, If I made an appointment, I don't think that girls trying on dresses should have mattered...Well, I came back in an hour, and guess what? They ordered the wrong dress. No problem, they told me they could get me the right one. Polly told me she KNEW the dress was wrong, but apparently just didn't say anything and wanted to waste my time by having me come in.WEEKS went by before the new dress came in. I made an appointment to go try it on, and guess what? It's too big and I HATE it. I should not have ordered a dress without knowing what it would look like. I asked Polly to add sleeves to it, this apparently took her another 2 weeks...I finally went home with my dress April 23rd after ordering it in the first week of January. The dress is ugly, the alterations are horrible, and somehow it got damaged in the shop. Best of all I paid over 200 dollars for something I hate simply because I had no other options given that the wedding is this week. I'm pretty sure the dress is going to fall apart at the wedding because someone the seams at the top are coming apart despite it only being tried on once, and the sleeves are badly sewn on, and uneven. I should feel beautiful in this dress, but on the most important day of my best friend's life I am just going to feel like a loser in an ugly messed up almost 300 dollar dress..Thanks for nothing Brides on a Budget.
I can assure you they are one of the best formal stores, the dresses are beautiful. The alterations lady is excellent and has many years of experience.
Ordered dress October 2013 paid 450.00 down. I was informed by the Mgr that shipping date was end of Dec 2013 . Never heard a word after leaving a message in Jan 214. Never got a call until End of March 2014. Needless to say that doesnt leave time for alterations. They kept my money and did not help. Do consider other shops ladies this was a bad experience all the way around from the get go.
My daughter had to have a dress altered for prom. We received Polly's name from another formal shop. We specifically asked them several times if they could complete it before prom. We were assured it was not a problem. My daughter called Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Friday's prom. She was told to pick up the dress on Thursday at 5:30. When we arrived we were told the dress was not ready. When we questioned Polly about the dress and said that prom was the next day, Polly was rude and told us she didn't take the order in the first place. Most unprofessional people I've met in formal wear. She then agreed to complete the dress in an hour. She in fact did complete it and you can tell it was done in a rush. Dress was altered too tight and my daughter left with a too tight dress and crying. What a waste of space this company is. Don't waste your time with them. There were 2 more people complaining while we were there as well. Ridiculous!
