Philip V. Mitchell, MD

We have been seeing Dr. Mitchell for many years now (3 generations). He has always accurately diagnosed any illness and goes above and beyond to take care of his patients. He is amazing with kids too! My kids look forward to seeing the doctor. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Mitchell is fantastic he listens to you he doesn't judge he has a great Sense of humor he's not a pill pusher his nurse is also wonderful Micki is very passionate and she knows her patients. Everyone there is very friendly very understanding very patient and sometimes it is hard to get into see him and sometimes there is a 15 to 20 minute wait. But that's because everybody's trying to get into see him. I would recommend him to anyone

I saw him for the first time at my local clinic today. They have had trouble keeping doctor's in the last year since the regular doctor moved to STL. It will be my last time. He is rude, arrogant, and treated me like garbage. He couldn't read or comprehend the paperwork in his hand or my records on the computer. When he stated misinformation I gave him the correct information. His response to that was to scream "We aren't arguing here!!!" I said I wasn't arguing I was giving him the correct information. He asked why I didn't have my medications currently so I began to explain. He rudely interrupted me, harshly stating "I don't care about all of this!" and turned away. He insisted he was not going to write scripts for medications he could not confirm I had been taking. In one breath he said the paperwork showed I hadn't taken a medication in over a year in another breath he said I had taken it in January. When he called my old doctor's office he actually told them they were wrong about when I had been treated at their office for something. It made no difference to him that I had been seen at this clinic for years. It made no difference that they had been treating me with great success for years under my current plan. He wasn't going to do it. He couldn't even settle on what the treatment was/is despite having all the paperwork in front of him. I read the paperwork. It's very clear. It's not the slightest bit ambiguous. When he decided he was done he said nothing to me and simply walked out of the room. I didn't even know the appointment was over. In addition to medication management I was there for my allergy shot. The nurse was informed of this. The receptionist was informed of this when I made the appointment,. Apparently, he just did not care because he simply walked out, never returned, and I never received my shot.This man is an arrogant, obnoxious, incompetent, idiot. Not only will I never see this jerk again I am going to a new clinic. Mercy Clinic in Buffalo is a train wreck. They offer online appointment scheduling but never respond to requests for an appointment. They can't keep a doctor. The ones that have come through there in the last year are incompetent and irresponsible. Mitchell is rude, arrogant, and treats people like garbage on top of that. One of the nurse practitioners has no idea what she is doing. They have misdiagnosed a couple of friends and have caused them serious harm in the process. They compound all of this by simply not giving a damn. Stay away from this jerk and this clinic. Mercy, if this is what you hire and condone you deserve the inevitable lawsuits. Eventually, someone will get fed up with your awful treatment and you will be forced to pay the price. Based on what I endured today; you deserve it.
