I just moved to Leavenworth, from Wichita, in February 2017. The cab company there was always nice, clean, and professional with prompt service. This cab company here, "Veterans Yellow Cab" is terrible. The staff are rude. The drivers are undependable, and one in particular drives like he's drunk! I, along with other customers have called for a cab for pick up at the Family Dollar store on Shawnee and Broadway St. They NEVER show up! I personally waited "outiside" in 90degree weather for 45mins for a cab in the parking lot of Family Dollar. They never showed. After calling them to ask about the cab, the rude dispatcher said he sent a cab but the driver said no one was waiting for one when he got there. Complete lie! The dispatcher said he would send another one. I waited again for 45 mins and still a no show. I called again and got the same response. But this time it was a woman who was just as rude. I ended up having to walk 5miles home in that heat. I have no car and anyone I could've asked for a ride were all at work. This company should be shut down! There is no reason for them to be in business! OUTRAGEOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL!
TERRIBLE!!! The car was filthy, I had to put my luggage in the trunk in top of garbage. The driver didn't get out to assist and was smoking in the car. Driver arrived 15 minutes after my pick up time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Don't reccomend. Booked a cab to get to the airport. Dispatcher told me 30 minutes or so. Called them back after waiting for 45 minutes and dispatcher said they were still working on getting me a cab and they were busy dropping off other fares. I then simply asked for him to be transparent and give me an actual correct estimate of time that they would be here and dispatcher hung up on me and then canceled my cab without telling me. Rude, unprofessional and do not use if you need to actually be somewhere on time.
I was forced to use this company because my car was being repaired in town by a place that uses them. If I had a choice I wouldn't have ever used them. The first time they came to get me, the driver refused to take me because of my service dog. That is a violation of the ADA regulations, which I should have reported. The next time I needed their services BEFORE the repair shop opened so I called to make a reservation- I called to confirm the time, between 7 and 7:15am the night before. I arrived at 7am- NO ONE WAS THERE. I had to wait until 7:30am and have the repair shop call before anyone showed up. I was 15 minutes late for work because of them. When I called to get an explanation, they said they were there at 7am and I wasn't. That the driver had to pick up someone else for work or that person would have been late. No apology, no explanation as to why they didn't come back, nothing. So I told them I'd not let the repair shop pay for the service since they made me late for work- they said they'd never pick me up again! NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL! AVOID USING THEM IF YOU NEED TO BE ON TIME!
My dogs were at animal control and I told the dispatcher I would need to pick my dogs up and that they were fairly large dogs. She said it's no problem they're animal friendly. Once we got to animal control, supposedly the driver wasn't aware that I was putting my two dogs into the car. He then proceeded to complain the rest of the ride back. Then after being completely rude the whole ride back, demanded 10 more dollars because he'd have to clean the car and that it was his personal car (the car was filthy, so I doubt he cleans it). I then called the dispatcher again after I was dropped off and paid the extra 10 dollars, and she said he claimed that my dogs were rowdy and slobbered everywhere! They sat down and just stared out the window the whole trip! I couldn't believe this. The car smelled like an ash trey, it was filthy, the AC didn't work, then charges me an extra 10 dollars to clean "his" car. I even asked the dispatcher if the drivers own the car, she said no...Total ripoff.
Total JOKE!!!!! The guy during the day that works the phone doesn't do his jobs then lies when you call the 3rd time after waiting for a cab and he says he has to charge for them to come back?!?! Waited in the rain for 45 mins for a cab that never showed!! Highly frustrating! Will never use them again!!
I called and to get a taxi to take my son to his Dr appointment. They denied me cause he didn't have a car seat. He's 5 years old I'm pretty sure he will be fine in just a seat belt. My car was in a terrible car accident last week so of course his car seat was in the car and I haven't had time to get a new one. I am very upset
