We had a horrible experience at Davis Hospital while my Mom stayed for three day. The LPN who admitted her was nice, but he didn't know what he was doing. He fumbled with the IV machine, lost the history, forgot to administer a drug, and seem scatter brained. We love a couple of the nurses who were professional, competent, and compassionate. Several times when I would stand at the nurses desk to inform them the IV machine was beeping I would have to wait for them to finish their conversations. The third day the doctor told her she could go home anytime when she felt like she could. A few hours later her nurse came in to say tell us there was a misunderstanding and she would have to be the bad guy and we were suppose to leave within two hours of the discharge orders and she had one hour to "get out". She was completely drugged up, my Dad wasn't back from our home with her clothes and I was frustrated. I complained to the administration and Ell the floor manager who listened kindly and then explained how hard it is to manage everything and they had five more patients than beds. I then knew why we a were asked to leave. I have had experiences with the labor and delivery at Davis four times and was impressed. I think the emergency room is great, but be scared if you get admitted. I have also had experiences at Ogden Regional, the U, Primary Children's and McKay. Davis is the worst! I have defended Davis for years because they saved my newborn, but now I understand why so many people have told me to just drive by and head to Ogden.

My husband was transported her...

My husband was transported here from Logan Specialty Hospital on April 4, 2011 in kidney failure. He has major medical issues and has been in the hospital 8 times over the last 2 years...staying at several different hospitals. The care he received here was EXCELLENT!!! He spent 5 days in the ICU on dialysis and then a day and a half on the medical floor. This hospital was very clean and well maintained. The Dr.'s and nurses were courteous, helpful, professional and really good to deal with. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone!!!

I have used Davis Hospital for the past 2 years, I am 82 yr. old. I used Davis hospital a number of times and have been impressed with the level of care, personal interest, and medical knowledge of the staff. The nurses are wonderful and treat me with respect and kindness at all times. I can't say enough about their great service and care for me and my health.
