My niece has been attending gymnastics here for several years. A little over a year ago the gym was purchased by The Daniels Family. The improvement in all areas has exceeded all our expectations. My sister was ready to try a new gym but decided to give it a try with the new owners. The front office staff is friendly and helpful. The beginning, intermediate and advanced coaches know what they are doing and being trained. They have coaches uniforms now and they look nice. The team coaches are incredible and the teams are improving. What a difference 1 year has made. Y’all are doing a good job.
I've been taking my kids here for years and we love it! Great one on one instruction, the kids are challenged and pushed to excell, but with kindnes…
I believe North Davis Gymnastics is the best kept secret in Utah. What other gym do the owners show up to each session of each meet and cheer on their gym kids? Last year they were at ever single meet. What other gym does the owners know every single team kids name? These NEW owners do this. We love North Davis Gymnastics and we love the owners David and Kim.
The owners of North Davis Gymnastics are phenomenal. I can’t believe the things they do behind the scenes to make sure each gymnast is learning and growing. The team gymnasts are always asking the owner, Kimberlee, if she saw their routine they just did. She responds, yes I did and tells them what she saw improvement on. They have coaches working in classes with other coaches to get hands on training. The gym is clean. The owners come out to the bleachers and talk to the parents. They gave us free popcorn on Valentine’s Day and said, we love our parents. I actually think they really do love all of us high maintenance gym parents.
The beginner class here is great, but I cannot give this place more than one star. The competitive teachers are awful! The teacher with pigtails and tattoos is horrible. I watch her week after week mistreat her class. She is verbally and emotionally abusive. I have witnessed her slapping the children in her class. The children are frequently in tears from her. It is really hard to be there watching my own daughter in a different class and see this lady. I think the only way North Davis would put up with her is if she is the owner...
Love the coaches. My kids always have fun and learn a lot. They care about the kids and show that in their teaching.
My three daughters have all taken gymnastics classes from North Davis Gymnastics at different times and in different classes. The coaches have been thoughtful and caring. My kids have enjoyed their classes and learned a lot. Besides gymnastics they have learned flexibility and increased their self esteem. When my kids have been scared of doing something new the coaches helped them work through their fears. Gymnastics is a great sport.
Their beginner classes are decent but their main goal is to advanced students on and not actually teach gymnastic basics. After our daughter was advanced to the Devo class, we began realizing that she wasn't really learning much but rather they were "teaching" towards their own checklist to move them up to a higher (and more expensive) class. She was advanced out of the beginners class before she could even do a cart wheel for heavens sake. Once in the Devo class, individual attention dropped sharply and the instructors looked like they wanted to be elsewhere. Our daughter went from being excited and having fun in her beginner class to being frustrated and upset. Now, we cannot even bring up the topic of gymnastics without her struggling to hold back the tears. Be aware that the contract requires a 30 day notice to quit so we ended up having to pay for a month that we never used as our daughter did not enjoy the Devo class due to the cranky staff and poor structure. A majority of the time was spent on what appeared to be grooming a couple of students for the "next level" while the others watched. I really wonder if NDG has gotten too big for their capabilities and the only ones that seem to suffer are the new students get moved too quickly in order to make more money.
