As highlighted on the Primrose corporate website, “90% of a child’s brain develops in the first five years.” Well, in the 3.75 months that our children attended preschool here, approximately 6% of their cognitive development has been lost, and we refuse to let any more time and burgeoning brain cells go to waste by sending our kids to this facility. The school initially appeared to be a great fit based on our initial (false) impression of the ownership and management. However, after noticing the daily pattern of our preschoolers coming home with no homework, no assignments, and no newly learned skills to share, it became evident that we were, in effect, paying a premium for daycare-level babysitting. The problem trickles down from the top. The owner is dismissive, condescending, and pretentious in her interactions with staff. The staff, in turn, suffers from lack of support, training, and basic respect from management (in addition to unfair pay). The result is a teacher staff that is dissatisfied and unequipped to foster the type of skill and learning development that Primrose touts. Look at Glassdoor employee reviews for Primrose – Lawrenceville for first-hand evidence of this.If you're in search of a school that will prepare your children by helping them to develop their passion for learning, then this is not the place for you. There are better educational choices in the area for the same cost. On the other hand, if you just need someone to watch your children while you’re at work, skip the pretentiousness and save yourself a penny or two elsewhere.

From Business: Welcome to Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of University Center! We are a fully accredited award winning school providing educational programs for children 6 weeks…
I love this school for my girls. The instructors are great and the leadership is also great! Worth it!
All three of my babies have attended the Primrose School of Lawrenceville North since they were 6 weeks of age. They are now 10, 7, and 2. Having my most prized possessions attend this school was and still is the best educational decision for my children and family. Way to go Primrose School of Lawrenceville North! You Rock!!!
Does not deserve even a single star! During Summer camp, many events that they promised to offer did not happen. The activities were geared towards smallest kids, while older kids were bored and not engaged. In addition to that, safety became one of my major concerns!!! I came to pick up my child, but her group was running late from a field trip. While I was standing in the school's driveway and watching the school's bus coming back from a field trip, the driver stopped behind a car which appeared to be hesitant to make right turn. Instead of safely waiting for the car to move, the school bus driver bi-passed the car by entering the oncoming traffic line... with children in the bus!!! outrageous!!! Makes me just wander what else happens within or outside the school while parents are not watching. Looks like this school is out there with a single purpose of money collection without putting much of effort and neglecting the safety of the entrusted children!!!
Beware - anyone considering Primrose as school teacher. As a former teacher I can tell you this is not where you want to be. The owner is very selfish and disrespectful and the management is horrible! They will recruit staffs (teacher) for a certain position and promise certain hours, but these staffs never get what they were promised. The management also continuously switch/move the teachers from one room to another (floater) in order to maintain the ratio. In other occasion they also move the children room to room in order to reduce the need for extra teacher for that room. Teachers are treated like slaves, like they own them! Management and the owner talk to the staffs very disrespectfully. They change staff schedule everyday. Many times, teachers are asked to go back home, soon after they come to work, so that they can save some bucks! There are mandatory volunteering for the teachers, several times in a year! The owner recruit as many teacher (on her list) as possible, so that she can get a larger tax deduction from this volunteering. There is a Huge Turn over in this school. Every week they are recruiting new teachers, because no one can stay! Not even a simple cook can work peacefully. In my first two months I have seen at least 5 cook came and go...! Most staff, I know left with a broken heart, but no one dared to mention it to the management, because of future job reference! Most teachers who survived longer...are those who have small children (goes to Primrose), who will struggle to pay for childcare elsewhere ; and the other ones are Spanish speaking teachers -who does not know how to communicate in English, just hanging on since they have nowhere else to go!! Owner is also very inconsiderate to her regular, faithful employee of their well being, or any personal need. it is amazing that even though the owner has no consideration for her staff she continuously asks (puts indirect pressure) the teachers to go online and like her school website or vote for it. If someone do not praise her school, this person become an enemy to her. It is also very unfortunate that even though parents pays a good amount of tuition fees, their children do not get the best service in this facility. The bibs and the cleaning cloths or the bedsheets they use are pretty much beaten up, torn and old!. Teachers are asked not to dispose any old material because they will make it work anyway. Owners favorite slogan is "I have a business to run"It is all about business, not about the children or their welfare! The parents pay a huge tutution fees yet the owner continuously beg the parents and the teacher to donate....for every occasion. The Children's are confused and feel insecure because they have to see new faces every week! Every parents and teachers should consider all these facts before they apply for any position or put their children in this school.
I'm so glad to have my children out of Primrose Lawrenceville North - they are now in an amazing daycare a few miles away with a caring/loving/active director and teachers who are so hands on (FOR LESS $$$$). When my daughter was accepted into the GA Prek inclusion program, we told the assistant director we were putting in our notice and she neglected to let Felicia know. She of course quit, and Felicia just over drew our bank account by $500, one week before Christmas. Because of her lack of open communication with her staff, my family gets penalized. Merry Christmas Hines family - we will get our money back.
THE OWNER (Felicia) STOLE OUR MONEY WITHOUT NOTICED - RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. See below reviews , we left in August we gave a verbal noticed to the directors more then a month prior to that date and they assured that we are good to go.The directors (both of them, together) were fired or quit (not sure) but since that the owner is claiming that we did not follow the 30 days written notice.Felicia just over drew my bank account by $500, one week before Christmas. Because of her lack of open communication with her staff, my family gets penalized. Merry Christmas Hines family. This is a pattern in this place and i feel bad for the lovely teachers, but this conduct is unacceptable and even qualified as FRAUD !
Enrolling my daughter in Primrose Lawrenceville North was the worst decision we ever made. These people do not care about Children or their parents and as one other reviewers stated, they have no respect for the families that attend their school. I 2nd the reviewer below that the change in personnel (i.e. the new director) probably caused this day care to go down hill. However, Felicia the owner takes NO responsibility for her day care as she has another career outside of the school. My 9 month old daughter (then 8 months) was very ill 3 times in the only month she attended PLN. She was never sick at her previous daycare Creme de la Creme in Alpharetta. They do not properly notify parents in writing that there are serious illnesses going around the school per state regulations. It was not surprising my daughter was so sick as I discovered that the toys she was playing with were covered in food and filthy...first thing in the morning after I was told they were cleaned every night. When we brought up our concerns and withdrew our child from Felicia's facility, she said she was conducting an "investigation" and would follow up with us regarding waiving the 30 day notice we were supposed to give. Well, we never heard back and these people tried to take money out of our account without permission 2 times. One of the times they were actually trying to invoice us and withdrawal over $600 in addition to the 30 day notice that we should not have had to pay due to the deplorable conditions. Please, do yourself a favor and do not enroll your children at this day care.,,,even if you have to drive a little further or pay a little more (which is what we are doing now). My daughter is in a lovely facility now and hasn't been sick once in her first month.
My kids have gone to Primrose School of Lawrenceville North for about a year now. Recently, Brandi, the director of the school just up and quit. Ever since then the school has been 'lead' by the owner, Felicia, whom is never actually AT the school. Meanwhile, the new director has no responsibilities given to her, therefore, she can never answer your questions. Can't work the billing system and always has to refer to Felicia whom never gets back with you. Simply put she is not an active owner and that makes a HUGE difference. The lack of communication and leadership has been astounding. My husband and I feel as though we have been lied to, avoided, and simply disrespected. We are currently in the process of withdrawing our children and moving our child care ASAP!
We have been taking our two children here for 3 months now and we couldn't be happier. The individual attention is the best and their pricing is even competive for the area. We recommend it to anyone that will listen. Our daughter is in pre k now and when we started neither my 4 year old or 1 year old had been to a day care facility. They made the transition easy and are always willing to let me speak to them if I'm feeling sad about being away from them! I couldn't ask for any more.
