I own an older house that is mostly restored and is on the National Registry of Historic Homes. My daughter's room was in need of new flooring, so I called Britt's to give us an estimate. When their employee came out I showed him exactly where the problem area was and told him it shouldn't be walked on. He tested it with his foot and said, "Yeah, it's pretty soft." It wasn't three minutes later when he tried to walk across that very area and his leg went right through the floor, leaving a square-foot hole in the middle of the room.At that moment I didn't think it was a big deal because we were going to have to fix the floor anyway. But I didn't hear back from Britt's with an estimate, so I called them two days later. It was then that I realized that they weren't even going to call me back. I was told they were not going to do anything about the flooring or the new hole. The store manager, James Boyd, essentially hid underneath his desk the whole time. He didn't try to talk to me or explain the situation. He didn't offer an estimate or a solution. He didn't have any intention of calling me or discussing anything. He just tried to avoid me. I thought, "What kind of business hires someone of this poor caliber to run their operations?"The answer to that question became perfectly clear when I talked to Boyd's supervisor, Jamie Britt, who is apparently the owner. Britt made Boyd seem like a paragon of virtue, which is a little like saying Boyd was the tallest midget. Britt was hostile from the start. I explained the situation and asked what we could do to solve the problem and he responded with, "Ya gat ta do wut ya gat ta do," suggesting I should go ahead and try to sue him. Most Americans would have needed subtitles to understand his enunciations, and he was having difficulty stringing two coherent sentences together. I could practically hear the banjos from Deliverence playing in the background.I asked if he thought this was a good way to do business and he told me in broken English that if I bought him out I could run the business in a more reputable fashion, but this was the way he did business. Britt soon hung up on me, and I'm guessing he then ran back into the barn to hide for the rest of the day.So I never got an estimate and now I have a large hole in the floor in my daughter's room thanks to Britt's. I thought the integrity of the floor was the issue, but came to find out the integrity of Britt's personnel was the bigger problem. If you are looking to hire incompetent bumblers of poor character, Britt's is definitely the place to find them. If you expect to do business man to man this is not the place to go. If you do make the mistake of hiring them, you'd better hope there are no problems because they will run away before you can blink an eye.

I would NOT recommend using ServiceMax Appliance Repair. They have now been to our house 4 times to fix a Maytag front loading washing machine and still haven't fixed the problem. So far we have spent $385 and they want another $290 ($675 total) to fix the washer. Our washing machine completes the washing cycle and hangs up in the spin cycle throwing an error code. On occasion, you could turn the washer off, wait 2-3 minutes, restart it, and it would complete the spin cycle. Sometimes it takes 3-4 attempts to get through the spin cycle. On ServiceMax’s first visit, they told us we need a new motor for $385. On their second visit, they installed the motor and told us everything was fixed and left. I ran a load of clothes after they left and we had the same exact problem as before (the wash cycle competed and the washer stopped in the spin cycle and threw the same error code).I called ServiceMax and told them that they hadn’t fixed the problem, so they sent the same tech back for trip #3. After talking with him, it was clear to me he didn’t know what was wrong and he was just trying different things. He told me he didn’t have the correct tools to diagnose the problem with him and would have to come back a 4th time. I called ServiceMax and told them my concerns about installing a motor that wasn’t needed and told them that I did not want the same tech to come back out. They came back today for the 4th trip with a different tech and he said the circuit board was bad and that would cost an additional $290 to fix. Today's tech told us that he would not have recommended replacing the motor. He said the Maytag front loading washer is well known for its problems and he would have recommended replacing the washer rather than trying to fix it. So we are now looking at $675 to fix a washing machine that is about 7 years old. There is no way I would spend $675 to fix a 7 year old washing machine. Also, we are out a lot of time waiting on their techs (the dreaded 4 hour appointment window). So now were stuck with the problem of throwing more money at the problem and hoping they can fix the washer or losing our original money and buying a new machine.
DO NOT do business with this company! Ronaldo the owner is arrogant, rude and unsympathetic of my situation. I did not purchase the refrigerator I have from his company personally. it was in the apartment I recently rented from LONG RIVER INVESTMENTS owner Xahuang Wu. Appliance To Go is responsible for the repairs. I have had problems with the refrigerator since 12/22/2016. the refrigerator is 15 years old ( see attached)
I bought a whole kitchen set from them 2 months ago. In the condition it came with and the price it was one of the best purchases I ever made! It's a family run business and the service was excellent. I was very pleased by the way Rey Jr. helped me with choosing which appliances to buy. Overall, will recommend.
Had a problem with my fridge and used their service. Also used them a few months ago for another issue and was surprised at 1) how fast they scheduled an appointment, 2) how friendly the repair guy was, and 3) how quickly they fixed it! I would recommend ServiceMAX Appliance Repair and if anything goes awry with your fridge or other appliances would give them a call.
bought a LG refrigerator from them, didn't work upon delivery, the repair guy came out and said they had replaced the compressor prior to the sale and had not charged the system which he then did. the refrigerator got cold but the ice-maker would not work called repeatedly and was told the ice-maker isn't part of the warranty (we went from guarantee to warranty over night)! the machine acted up from time to time (the water turned on by itself and flooded the kitchen) each time we called they said they would fix it but none came, each time we called back we were told their system was down so you had to tell the whole story over again. then the unit died! now i was out of there Warranty/guarantee their product are junk their word means nothing
I am so disappointed. I went through them using 90 days same as cash and never received all of my merchandise. Every time I call, they either hang up or tell me that it's not in their department. I believe they run a scam by making sure they receive their payments but don't deliver on quality merchandise. The items I did receive did not work properly and had to wait 3 weeks for them to be fixed...which comes out of the 90 day warranty. I am very disappointed. We paid top dollar and we don't even have all of our merchandise.
Beware of this man. He is a crook. We had a problem with a refrigerator and he did NOTHING about it. We had a 1 year warranty. He will screw you if you buy from him.
I bought a GE side by side refrigerator from Appliances to Go Saturday, it could not delivered until Monday. I was told I would be first in line since I lived right up the street but I did not receive it until well after noon, after several calls to ask what was taking so long. Once delivered the fridge worked for 4 days before it stopped. I called Appliances to go and requested that they do something about it immediately since I had just restocked my fridge from all the food that spoiled over the weekend. They said they would have the repairman to call me that day but I did not. I called back at 6 pm and no one answered the phone. I waited til the following morning and called but they made excuses again. Said they would send someone out that morning. The repair comes, along with a guy that I guess is a manager of sorts. The repairman speaks no English at all but seems very upset by the fridge, he sits down on his tool box with his hands over his head and uttering something over and over that I do not understand. I am VERY freaked out at this point! The 'manager' tells me that I need to turn to dial all the way up on the freezer in order for the fridge to cool. I said that sounds like bs and I want another fridge period ! I called up to Appliances to Go and talked to Renaldo. The tells me they may be able to send another fridge the same day. They delivered the new fridge and now, only 4 days later IT DOESNT WORK EITHER !!!! obviously this would already be disturbing if it were just me but I also take care of a very ill parent and our fridge is an essential to his health. I am blown away and don't know how to resolve this at this point. I truly advise you to NOT purchase anything from these people !!!!!!!!!!!!!
