As someone who worked in (two) restaurants when he was in high school and in college in the 1970s, I feel uniquely qualified to evaluate Friendly's Restaurant in Lawrence.When my girlfriend and I went there on Saturday afternoon of Labor Day Weekend 2017, we experienced the following problems:1. we had to wait about 10 minutes in order to be seated--NOT because the restaurant was busy... but because the employees were busy... feasting on serving themselves ice cream, engaging in idle, personal chit-chat, and just hanging around, and having a good time;2. when we were FINALLY seated, we were seated at a DIRTY table;3. we placed our order for coffee and dessert--and had to wait about 15 minutes for it;4. when our order FINALLY arrived, the coffee was COLD--but BURNED beyond salvation;5. we had to ask TWICE for cream and sugar--and then had to wait FOREVER for it to arrive;6. we had to wait FOREVER for our bill to arrive--and, when it FINALLY arrived, the waitress made a mistake (charging us different prices for the same dessert);7. when I went to pay the bill, NO ONE was on the register (all the employees were doing exactly as described above when we first arrived)--and I had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to come to the register;8. after someone FINALLY came to the register so that I could pay my bill and FINALLY leave, the NIT-WIT at the register asked me if I was waiting to be seated--despite the fact that I was standing there with my bill in one hand, and my money in the other!PLEASE NOTE:1. THE SERVICE IS PISS POOR;2. THE FOOD IS PISS POOR; AND,3. THE MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION IS PISS POOR--IN FACT, FROM WHAT WE COULD SEE, THERE WAS NO ADULT SUPERVISION OF THE HALF-DOZEN TEEN-AGERS WHO WERE "WORKING" (ACTUALLY, JUST HANGING-OUT) THERE.NOT RECOMMENDED--EXCEPT AS A RESTAURANT TO AVOID!!!!!
