Some friends and I ate rhere yesterday after reading all of the great reviews. It was around 5pm in the afternoon Saturday, March 19, 2016.The service was excellent how wver I have complain on the food bjeing served at the buffet. It wasn't hot the seasoning tasted like one I have had before. The pork chops tasted lime it was old meat the fried chicken was very tough and tasteless the vegetables tasted like they were out of a can. The biscuits were really hard the desserts were very bad again tasteless the cobblers tasted too seet as if from a cake mix. The othercake with icing was very bland. I feel this wasa very undesirable experience and I don't thinkwewill visit again.

The buffet is fantastic! Our server was great. Really enjoyed eating here!
Main Table just opened recently and most people familiar with food service know it takes a while to work out the kinks in the food chain. The food itself (when they are not out of it!) is very good and easily surpasses Chili's nearly raw fried shrimp. For nine bucks - the average price of an entree on the menu - you really can't beat it. The only thing that will prevent it from becoming a destination restaurant in these parts is lack of a liquor license which it most likely will never have given the owner. However this "short fall" is considered a major plus among those looking for a "family" restaurant without the "family" restaurant atmosphere. I have eaten there three times and have taken guests there for lunch and dinner. My food and service was always exceptional and my guests (who hail from big old cities like Raleigh and Charlotte) have always raved about the food and service. Personally I find the deserts (though at a good price point) are a little dry and disappointing but no one else at my house has complained. The exception was the chocolate cake which was really great. In short, give the folks a little time to figure out what their average daily meals served will likely be and a little time to work out the logistics of the place and I'm reasonably sure most complaints will go by the wayside.
Great family place with lots of great choices and affordable prices!
Food is great! Dine in awesome. Atmosphere and staff amazing. Not a typical fast food restaurant. You should try the special dipping Main Table Sauce. Lots of home made dessert choices. Thank you guys for a great place to dine.
I have ate at The Main Table three times now and have had a great experience each time. You can tell the owner really cares about his staff and food. The food was great, service was fast and efficient, and restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be back to eat at this fine establishment.
Tried main table tonight ordered the basic burger and fries for three of us and was sadly disappointed. First cold rolls without silverware or plate werebrought to table. Then the burgers came and the fries had obviously been cooked earlier and reheated with cheese under a heat lamp or microwave just a cold glob of goo that was disgusting. All three of us were looking at each other in disbelief. The burgers were just bland and were helpless. I never ever complain but this being a new place I thought it would be helpful to the owner who was on site. The waitress laughed asked us to come again went to the kitchen where more laughter was heard and the cashier asked how our dinner wss we said not very good. She just said our bill amount no what was wrong let me get the owner. I'll never go back.
I must say, our waitress was a wonderful server...even though she had no honey mustard for my chicken fingers. Apparently, the only sauces at Main Table is ketchup, mustard, and maybe mayo. So, we ordered the collard green roll appetizer, with an order of cheese fries. Both were priced at $5 each. What came to the table was a plate that contained 2 small egg rolls stuffed with collards and about 12 fries with about the same amount of cheese. Then...the chicken finger dinner (which we ordered 3 of...myself and 2 boys) had only 3 pieces of chicken...no honey mustard...damn it! My husband ordered a burger....small...with a BIG bun. Nothing exciting. The bill was 57 bucks! (But that included our server's tip, which I am sure she did not receive in its entirety). To sum it up....go to Champ's, order the Laurinburger and their fingers...or start a fund to get Mr. Ridge Runner outta jail! He may have been a crook, but damn it the food was good and he had honey mustard sauce!!
