Wills
A will’s legality is determined by probate. The appointed personal representative will be given the power to take the necessary actions to close the estate once the court determines that the document filed is the legitimate Last Will and Testament. These actions may include gathering and preserving assets, paying debts, and distributing assets. When a loved one passes away, the estate typically needs to go through a process called probate or estate administration that is overseen by the court.
