For being a budget airline, Allegiant is not that bad. The standard non-bundled fare starts as low as $20.00 per passenger, each way. And you can personalize your trip only with the extras that matter most. In other words, you pay for only what you want. Allegiant charges $10.00-$18.00 for a carry-on bag and $18.00-$30.00 for a checked bag (if declared online) or $50.00 per bag at the airport. They also charge $4.00-$12.00 for priority boarding, $5.00 for boarding pass printing at the airport, $10.00-$80.00 for seat selection, and $2.00-$7.00 for in-flight refreshments. What I do is I just bring a carry-on bag- the only checked bag is my golf bag if I fly to a popular golf destination. I also use my free digital boarding pass on the free Allegiant mobile app. And to be honest, Allegiant usually has relatively quick flights, so there almost isn't any need for the refreshments, and even with all the fees, Allegiant is still very affordable. The only complaint I have is that the fleet is so old, so there is always the possibility of flights getting delayed or canceled, possibly due to mechanical issues (though I think they are working on updating the fleet). Other than that, if you're looking for a low cost and the convenience of flying from your small-town airport to a major US tourist destination, I would recommend Allegiant.

Just purchased an airline ticket from this company on Saturday. Circumstances changed withing 2-3hrs and I attempted to cancel. Being it was the weekend could not reach anyone and on Saturday I emailed them x2 to tell them I needed to cancel. Was told today, they do not accept emails (and I see nothing that indicates this) for cancellations and could not be refunded. They gave me a year voucher, but that does us no good since we NEVER fly. This was our first. Waited, by the way on the phone today over 70 min. for someone to answer. Run from this company
I was sick and in hospital. Doctor and hospital gave me letters for airlines. Allegiant did not honor them and told me I needed to purchase the extended insurance so no refund was honored. What a mess had to borrow money to get home!!!!
We wanted to change flight date with no refund and willing to pay additional cost, but was told that because I did not purchase the Tripflex and request the change within 7 days I could not change the flight. The cost of the ticket was $292 dollars. The cost of the new flight was on $63.50. We did not want any of that money back. First of all, they did not send the confirmation email and when I explained that, I was told AOL is notorious for not receiving mail due to spam. I never had that problem before and this was not the case. I spoke with 3 different Allegiant representatives and they could not even find the flight information. One of the representatives finally sent me a confirmation email through a PDF format. However, I was still refused the change and also refused information regarding their corporate address. I give Allegiant a zero for their customer service and unwillingness to take responsibility of not getting information to us in a timely manner. Miseah, allegiant representative was very rude. She refused to even address the issue that Allegiant was having the problem with the email transmission, but stated it was my responsibility to let the m know. I tried and it did no good and the representative sent whatever information they deemed important to the the management team. They then refused the one time request and nothing more could be done about it. according to Miseah!
the airline is good for pricing and travel but an emergency came up the day before my daughter was to fly hospital problem and i was told because i didnt buy the protection they get 112 dollars of my hard earned money i didnt want a refund a voucher would be nice to fly at a later date. never again . i booked another airline going back and explained the same situation and they are given a voucher good for one year.
Wouldn't let us get our kiosk tickets til an hour before our flights. Agent was rude and never apologized. Will not be flying from here again. Not a happy customer.
Well so far one star,however, allegiant air has a great opportunity to make up for some lost and very damaged luggage with missing items when it was finally returned the day before i left. Lets see how they handle my complaint.
