I don't know what these other 2 are complaining about. I've had my sister at the heights several timed and always found the staff to be courteous, competent, and friendly. Of course, they're understaffed and stretched thin at times, but they more than compensate for the complaints with complements.
This was the only site that I investigated when a friend was being transferred, and I thought to myself. :Holy Crap" can it be this bad?? Well first of all all these reviews are outdated. From what I witnessed and from those that I spoke with .. they are trying hard and doing their best to provide good care. Of course their are bad apples in every bunch. And it only takes one to ruin it. I would like to add that if you have any valuables make sure you take inventory and get them locked up or they could disappear. You get what you pay for and yes they may be a little under staffed. They could use some volunteers like they have in the hospitals since they are under staffed. It is a difficult job just like teaching..workers probably are under paid..
This place used to be real good for my Mom. She thrived until the new management came in. They let go half of the staff. Raised the rent and got a new chef that has no clue how to make a meal to save his life. Now she doesn't get shower's, can't eat the food (she can pack away a good meal) but won't eat because it's so bad. The other residents complain about the food also. Now she's losing weight and very weak and can't walk due to the weakness.
This is a hell hole, I laid in feces with an open surgical scr on my abdomen, they disregarded doctors orders, I wouldn't put anyone in this place. I have reported them to my insurance also. You are forced to give a star to post.
This place doesn't even deserve a star! They abused my mother let her sit in feces unless myself or my dad would clean her. She pages them takes then a hour to response they are never on time with medication. Now they have released her without her prescription my mother is very ill has a heart condition, kidney failure, High and low blood pressure and severe chronic pain due to her neuropathy. Whoever suggest this place say no unless you don't love your loved one! I've seen elderly screaming for the nurse and I have helped them. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!! It may look nice and fancy but it's a disgrace and it's disgusting I took lots of pics! BEWARE OF THIS HELL HOUSE!! And they will talk about your loved ones, the nurses didn't realize I was the daughter of the patient!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this facility, my father went in to receive rehab after his successful hip surgery. He ended up with UTI and although they started treating him for the infection, I noticed he was in a lot of pain and not himself; I then requested that they take him to the hospital and I was told that there was no need, they had it under control. The next day my father ended up with pneumonia, finally they decided to take him to the hospital after we insisted. The staff members are apparently nice and caring...but the truth is they don't do much for the patients there. My father's condition only got worse and I'm saddened to say that my father did not survive this. RIP dad...we miss you tremendously and love you!!!
Willow Creek Assisted Living in Las Vegas, NV has been the home for my grandpa over the last two years. The best Las Vegas assisted living place in town! Very friendly staff, fun activities and great food.
I moved my loved one in showing the beginning signs of dementia/memory loss. The assessment done at the application process said some help was needed but was showing signs of memory loss-not dementia. After going for a walk unattended, my loved one was overheated, dehydrated and severely confused. The front desk person called me to tell me that my loved one was DRUNK at 6:45am and that I would need to move them to a different facility. I explained that an assessment was done showing a memory issue and she should be able to distinguish the two after being around similar situations all day. I was highly offended and they called an ambulance before I could get there and he was hospitalized for dehydration and confusion and did have to move out of Atria. I thought they were going to do as promised and look after my loved one, instead it was just heartache. The food quality went from a 4 to a 1 1/2, the food was unappealing, flavorless and the "snacks" that we're supposed to be available at all times got raided by the same 4 women as soon as the snack basket was filled. It was like junior high school but worse. I would not recommend this place to anyone,
