HORRIBLE! They never called to confirm my appointment like most places do, so when I called to confirm my appointment with the card they had given me last visit, they didn't even show that I was scheduled. Then, when she finally scheduled my appointment, I got a call back (voicemail) a minute later saying that there wasn't going to be a doctor available for the rest of the day. When I called back, a new lady (very rude) said they had me scheduled for another day. I, frustrated at this point, tried explaining to her that I had just received a voicemail notifying me that there was no longer one available at that time and that I needed to re-schedule, but this rude receptionist wouldn't let me talk and said that she was hanging up on me. Note: at no point did she ever say I apologize for the confusion, I.e. not calling to confirm my appointment the day before I was scheduled, scheduling me for an appointment when there was not gonna be a doctor in, and for scheduling me for a day that I wasn't able to make it to without asking me. It's okay, I'm proud to say that I'm a new customer at 5-star dental office. All thanks to the rude lady that answered my call on 02/28/17 @ 1:43 PM.
With all due respect, I'm sharing my frightening experience at Tender Dental. I went for the first time into Tender Dental with no prior appointment, because of a fallen crown. I was clear in stating that I had my own Dentist in a different city, that this was an unexpected situation that just needed to be re-cemented until I made it to my own dentist. From the very beginning, the front office said that the price was going to be $50 for x-rays and depending on whether the tooth had decay or not, the price would vary. In spite of stating that I was not going to be treated there because I had my own dentist, they proceeded to make an xray of the tooth in question, and individual xrays of every single tooth... I reminded them again about having my own dentist and they stopped taking xrays. A few minutes later, a young female dentist came in to see the xrays, and stated that the decay was too close to the bone and the tooth had to be extracted. Shesaid my wisdom tooth also had to be extracted and recommended to leave me with no teeth on the bottom left quadrant, so that I could speak with their oral surgeon to have two implants placed instead, to hold a bridge for $3,000.00 each implant approx. Since I was exposed to dentists since I was 4 years old, because I had no permanent teeth under the baby teeth, I knew how important it was to save a tooth and immediately went for a second opinion. The new dentist took the xray (xrays here were $29.00) of that tooth and was in shock when I explained what just had happened at Tender Dental. He numbed the area, cleaned it, put a temp crown on it and asked me to return in two weeks for a permanent crown. He also warned me that the root could give me problems because it was close to the cavity, and it may need a root canal. He prescribed antibiotics and codeine (I haven't needed codeine or even ibuprofen) and 24h. later still no pain. He also suggested to use that tooth as a support for a bridge, because the tooth is healthy. A good dentist will never resort to pulling a tooth if it isn't necessary, the good dentist will always try to save a tooth.
I was shocked that they were open so early and that they were able to get me in so quickly. I had called a few other places and either got answering service or the few that were opened did have appointments no matter how much pain I was in. Im glad I found this office no only did they get me in right away but Dr.Lee and staff were amazing and got me out of what I thought was the worst pain ever. I m so happy I came here now Im done in time to still go to work......amazing
Omg, one of my worst experiences ever. Waited forever for absolutely nothing. My husband has a broken wisdom tooth, in horrible pain. Have to wait for authorization, here's some motrin. Are u serious? The pain is horrible. This place is horrible we waited for 3 hours for absolutely nothing.. Never go here, everyone is out to make some money for the unnecessary when u know what your insurance covers they hate that response..
This place is horrible I will be reporting them to every agency that I can.
Not only did I receive 2 confirming calls to let me know that my appt. was today, I made the initial call to reserve the appointment.
However, in every call that I received they neglected to tell me that I needed my Id for my poor luck I didn't have it today.
I showed up today for my kids appointment and they sure enough sent me on my way saying that I should've known!!!!
I have only been to a dentist in Mexico I have never been here to know what is required for my children to be seen. Secondly I told the staff that I did have my social security card and my bank card which had my picture on it. They still refused.
Holly was nice enough to try and make an exception but honestly she stood there and argued the fact. That I should have known. I said for all they know I could be a felon or have a warrant and don't have an ID. She said that in that case they don't even want to do business with me. This was an example of a situation that a person could possible be in, not that I am actually a felon or have a warrant.
For all they know I could be an undocumented resident who just arrived and don't even have and ID.
Here comes the worst I called the number posted on the back of the door 702-806-7437 To which a female dog answered by the name of Renee. I told her my whole situation and she said I am Mexican too.. I then explained that I wasn't Mexican that I had only been seen in Mexico I really don't know how stuff out here works. If it weren't for Obama Care I wouldn't even worry about insurance. I told her my son in pain and that his teeth were coming out almost on top of his baby teeth she said "Sorry I can't help you bye!" That was the end of that.
I have never felt so humiliated or disrespected in my entire life. Honestly After reading every single review here I feel really sorry for most of the people put in horrible situations by this company. I would never recommend such a horrible place.
Whoo on my way to starbucks ! I love this office they always do nice things for their patients so well.Today was my birthday and I had to go to the dentist it was nice when the front desk girl wished a happy birthday. Dr.Ponce was very quick and gentle I never feel nervous with her she is like an old friend. After I was done the office manager stopped me and gave me a gift card to starbucks and again wished me a happy birthday !!! they are so thoughtful.
I got work done then what do you know 6 months later I get a letter saying my insurance didn't cover the work I got done so I have to pay 250.00 out of pocket haha. "They sent 3 letters since September" I remember confirming with them the insurance took care of everything, when I call to tell them there is a mistake they tell me nope we sent letters. wow it's 2014 thank you for making a phone call to me which they never did. this place if really ridiculous. They try to do work and extra stuff on you then over charge you 6 months later on some bs charge. I wish they would've called right away if my insurance didn't go through. They are quick to do all the work on you though telling you the insurance will cover it and the so called estimate told me everything will be covered. Avoid this rip off place. I wish I can put zero stars. never going to this place ever again and I'm telling everyone I know to avoid this place.
Took my 2 yr old daugther just for a check up, I wasn't allow to go in with her, the doctor never introduced herself, they started doing stuff, that until this day I was never told, without me giving any okays, then told me she had to have a work done the fallowing Tuesday. Iwas not even asked, they said it had to be done and i felt very preassured because i was told if i didn't take her I would have to pay $200. I took her and even when I asked to explain what was going on, they didnt took the time to explain and i had said i didn't understand. Fimally all the work they did on her look horrible and one of the crowns fell off the next day. We took her and they told us to take her on Friday because they couldnt see her right there, even thou we had an appointment, and they said we didnt.
I feel soo gulty now to see that my daugther lost her natural theeth for not standing up to them and trusting they were going to do a good job.
I am taking her somewhere else to see if something can be fixed.
Tender Dental has wonderful Dentists, Hygienists, and Assistants, but their appointment system needs to be scrapped and reinstitued. Dr. Staten and Fran their RDH, both are exceptional. On both of my visits and for additional consults they listened and understood my concerns and worked with me. Sandra in billing is great and kept me aware of charges and balances. My most recent visit though was a disaster. At least 10 phone calls and 3 automated texts to confirm my appointment which was then cancelled because the office personnel did not recognize my new insurance. Why that mattered is a mystery, why when I asked if they needed verification beforehand and was told no, is a mystery, why my appointment was summarily cancelled, is a mystery. AND why no one advised that my preferred Dentist (Dr. Staten) had switched hours is a mystery. My new appointment is today (10/10) stay tuned for the results.
I'm very happy with the service at this office, Dr.Ponce goes above and beyond to provide good service and make sure that I understand all my treatment and what is needed. Her staff is always kind and friendly whenever I come into the office they are smiling and polite. Anytime I've ever come in I always felt that I got the best service and care.
This office is outstanding I will never go anywhere else. I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist and they made me feel at ease. The front desk girls are nice and make things easy the girls in the back and the doctor took good care of me and really explained everything step by step,I felt so in powered when I left I knew what i had going on and i knew what i need to do to take care of it. thanks for taking such good care of me.
The only way i could feel more comfortable in this office is if i moved my bed into the front lobby. The people here are great I cant remember there names but they always remember mine and they smile and make you feel like your the only person in the office I know that are super busy but its good to know that they take the time to give each person that one on one feeling it means alot...so thank you all you nameless tender dental people.
This is the worst place I've ever been to. I had 3 visits and all 3 I had to wait 2hrs plus! I came in for some fillings and some how I got over charged, now I have to pay 500 out of pocket. A filling they fixed went bad just 2 days later now they won't even see me till I pay for their billing mistakes!!! All there staff are unexperienced. I'm sure you'll love the duck tape holding the X-ray matching together. This place is a joke!!!
I love this office they go out of there way to make you feel like a person not a number or a patient, Im always surprised at how they remember little details from our last visit they make me feel like im the only patient they have. I will never go anywhere else and if you dont have a dentist then I highly suggest that you go to them.
