Absolutley Appaling

My father recently took his Miniature Schnauzer, Keely, to this office when she began throwing up excessively, and there was blood in her urine. The Dr. determined that she had 3 very large bladder stones, and would have to have surgery to have them removed. The surgery was going to cost over $900. My father nor myself have this kind of money just lying around, and knowing very well that no one would allow a surgery to be done and have payments be made on it, he asked one of the representatives (the one that handles the financial part of it) if it would be possible to begin making payments until the balance was paid in full, and then have the surgery done. This woman completely refused. Said it couldn’t be done, which I find absolutely appalling. The nurses and Dr. were nothing but nice, but this woman was totally out of line. Not only did she cause this company to lose a customer, my father's dog is in serious condition and may not even make it long enough for us to find another vet. Its ridiculous. We would not expect them to do the surgery until the balance was paid in full. I say, use caution before using this business. It's a shame.

Bad Bad

Our two year old min pin hurt her leg a little over a year ago and had trouble walking. We brought her into the Pecos Animal Hospital to get it checked out. They took some X – Rays, and had an exam with the doctor. She put our little girl on some medication and pain killers, the medication did nothing (Steroids). The vet there, Dr. P I believe her name is didn’t know what was wrong with her and suggested we see a specialist. Our second visit to this place was about two weeks ago when our little min pin had a crazy skin condition; we thought it was some kind of ear mite so we brought her in to be safe. She had a skin scrape done to check for parasites and came up clean. We were then told to give her antibiotics, Prednisone, and Benadryl. Unfortunately this method did not help and she only got worse. We went back in today and scheduled her two different procedures costing us just under $350 dollars to “MAYBE” find out what’s wrong. Of course it hurt to pay so much money with such short notice but we sucked it up and scheduled her appointment for 5 days later. On the way out of the office for the 4th time with zero answers they tried to make me pay an extra $30 dollars for just coming in for her check up from the meds she was prescribed two weeks prior!! I told them they were ridiculous and out of principle I will pay even more money seeing a new vet just to avoid this place. On top of that our poor baby has been miserable for over a month now. The vet here is very nice, but she isn’t the brightest. Her little round office manager is very rude and has the “Business/Money mindset not caring much for the animals”. They also make you wait a good 20 minutes to even see a human after they put you in a room. Avoid this place for your precious animal, and you will also save yourself frustration and headaches!
