Never Again. I moved here from out of state almost a year ago and have been living here since. I AM SO GLAD I am moving out in two months. This place is absolutely the worst place I've ever lived. My biggest issue with this place, despite what one of the first ratings said, is that this IS a ghetto. And the staff treats it as such. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've had to call the office and police on the ridiculous noise that neighbors make. Music so loud you can clearly hear it through your walls. And not just the music, but the bass. I guess the people around here figure it's ok to play music as loud as they want, even though in your lease, you sign an agreement to keep your noise at a reasonable level as to not disturb your neighbors. I feel like my calls fall on deaf ears with the staff. I would think after calling more than three times on a neighbor they would have them evicted, but no. It only continues. People like holding parties outside through all hours of the night. And lets not forget the ""gangstas"" that roll through the place with their music so loud that you could sing along.. ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT.
The second biggest issue is the amount of crime happening around here. Within the first few months of living here, I was out on my balcony when I heard a woman crying and yelling. It was obvious that she had just been mugged. There's cop helicopters and cops constantly patrolling the area. Shootings on a weekly basis and people outside fighting for one reason or another. Oh, and a whole hell of a lot of domestic violence. I've had more than a couple of neighbors with THAT issue.
So, with all that being said.. I don't really have an issue with the jets that fly over head. You get used to that. As you would with any amount of loud noise, like living near a freeway. And the maintenance crew was excellent. My A/C went out and they sent someone over within a few hours. It was awful being without, but at least someone came out and fixed it that day. The complimentary carpet cleaning was nice. And the pest control guy was pretty thorough.
Obviously, it's not really the apartment crews that are the issue with this place. It's the people that live here. I moved here because it was cheap. Luckily, both my spouse and I have jobs now. We'll be moving out of here ASAP. If you can afford a couple hundred more a month, I WOULD NOT recommend this place. Don't walk away from here. RUN.
