In Vegas for the first time ever for my wedding, our chatty limo driver suggested this place to us. We were SO SO SO glad he did.
You pull into the parking lot and see this little building...appearances can be deceiving ;)
You enter into a small area and ring the doorbell...what happens next? Well that's part of the fun of this place - a throwback to the ""gangster"" days of the 20s & 30s.
With a party of 5 we were seated almost immediately (and mind you this was Halloween night). As the night went on the place filled up, but we were NEVER made to feel like they were rushing us out the door. The lighting is dim and the menus come with an attached flashlight to help you to see. The dishes are properly named and got a chuckle from us. Since it was Halloween they offered us drinks and we each ordered a ""Zombie"" martini. The martinis came to us and were green and smoking (a little piece of dry ice) and had an eyeball floating in it. Perfect for the occasion!
I have a thing for Alfredo and HAD to try theirs...it was some of the BEST Alfredo sauce I have ever tasted. You can add a meat of your choice for a couple extra dollars to most of the pasta dishes.
My entire party was delighted with the food and ate the generous helpings till we were stuffed. We all felt it was one of those meals where its soooo good that even though you're stuffed beyond stuffed you don't want to stop eating it because it's just THAT good. We also sampled each others' dishes and every bit of it was amazing. My sister-in-law joked with our waitress ""you have 'mama' hidden away in that kitchen dont you!"".
The service was EXCELLENT, our water cups were consistently filled and our waitress was an absolute pleasure. We told her they should open a Capo's in Jersey...it would surely make a killing (pun intended ;)!
The ""Frank Sinatra"" was great entertainment as he walked from table to table and sang Sinatra, Darin and the like.
It was a little bit on the expensive side, but we were glad to pay our bill as we felt every penny was well worth it. Plus they threw in some free Cannolis to celebrate my wedding! Everything about this place was delicious.
I will recommend this place to anyone I know and will definitely be going there the next time I'm in Vegas. A+++'s all around for Capo's.

I brought 11 people for dinner to celebrate my daughters birthday. The food was good (only 1 person in my part was unhappy with the meal), prices fair, but, the service was certainly was lacking. The waiter never checked to see how the meal was. Never offered coffee with dessert. I assume because his tip was included because of the size of our party. His loss, actually, because I never tip a mere 20% with good service. Also, I was charged a $20 ""cake fee"" for serving my daughters birthday cake. I have been to 5 star retaurants that would not think of doing this. I found this insulting. I will pay extra for a good meal and even let the poor service slide because it does happens occasionally, but, that $20 cake fee was unacceptable. Therefore, for that one reason, I will NOT return to this establishment. My advice....have your cake at home.

Ever since I left the East coast, it has been difficult finding good Italian restaurants. My friend I found Capo?s by accident. We saw that it was Italian and decided to check it out. I?m glad that we did! The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. The service and staff are first class. The food is amazing. It is fabulous and authentic. As an added bonus the live music is also excellent. Forget the restaurants on the strip and try this one. Every penny spent here is well worth it.

I go to Vegas every month on business and found myself bored with restaurants in the hotels. Don't get me wrong you can get good eat's on the strip but not eveything in Vegas happens on the strip. A few friends of mine from the area took me to Capo's one night and I fell in love with it. From the minute we pressed the buzzer on the door until the time we walked out of the door back to the car everything was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was first class. It is very dark inside but that holds a lot of appeal as not everyone is staring you in the face while you eat. This is perfect for a date spot. I give it 5 stars!

I love this place And I bring clients there all the time and they're always blown away.
Sinatra crooner serenades during dinner. Then later R&B mixes take you into the later hours.
I've tried every other Italian place in town and Capo's is definitely the most authentic with an awesome atmosphere. ""Try it you'll like it""

How can all you people like this restaurant? The food was nothing spectacular-just heavy and the sauces were overkilled with garlic. Believe me, you will be running to the pharmacy to stack up on TUMS after a night out at this restaurant. I am surprised they are still open. I found it too dark and dingy. I bet most of these reviews are just friends of the owner.

O.K. we discovered Capo's purely by mistake, having stayed at one of those awful time share residences down the street and being very hungry, choosing not to cook, we walked half a block and said let's go in here. From the outside the place resembles a bad version of a Hungry Hunter restaurant.. After ringing the bell, and receiving a ""traditional"" speakeasy reception (PREPARE YOURSELF), we found ourselves in a room, where it took at least 3 minutes for our eyes to adjust to the light, or should I say the lack thereof. It was very gangster""ish"", which we loved but may very well put some folks off. We really felt like we were back in the 20's. Seated at the bar for about 15 minutes -- we had no reservations-- we found a bartender who wasn't all that friendly -- at first, but warmed up when he realized we knew our wines, and could school him on how to make a PERFECT martini. Escorted to the ""Capone"" booth for dinner, we had wonderful service, and felt as though Al himself might come through the door at any moment. The food wasn't 5 star, but it was darn tasty and very filling.
The entertainment was just right for the environment, and we enjoyed every minute of it! Our service was great, and we were extremely surprised when we advised our waitress that she hadn't included our martini's on the check -- to be met with the response....""consider it a bribe and come back soon"" -- which we do, every time we go to Las Vegas (5-6 times a year). We're really loooking forward to New Year's Eve!
By the way, don't be afraid to take the youngsters with you! They do a great job of entertaining children.

We went to this place a few nights ago, when we entered the ambiance was quite different and unique, but pretty empty. The service was waaaaaaay overkill, and the servers kept rushing us to get our order and clean our table as fast as possible! The food is ok, but the prices overall are pretty high....A glass of house wine is $7 and sodas are $3 each, come on now! We don't eat a whole lot, so we spilt our meal, and they had the nerve to charge us a $4 splitting fee, even though we added salads! Then the server brought us the check and completely messed it up by trying to overcharge us! I would recommend for those of you that want to check this place out, to go during there happy hour, and sit at the bar just to see what the inside looks like....We will not be going there ever again! I do recommend Casa Di Amore's or De Stefano's off of East Tropicana; better food, prices, service and entertainment!

The food is fairly inexpensive, plentiful, and pretty good, and so is the service. And, there is only a $15.00 cork fee for those who wish to bring a bottle from home. However, I did not rate this place a 9 because of its food, service, or cork fee. The ambience and presentation are enough to mask most of the shortcomings, and there are not many. In sum, the experience begins before you enter the door--you'll just have to go there to see what I mean.
This is a perfect place to take out-of-town guests at a more-than-reasonable price. The decor is extremely ""mobbed out,"" complete with a Thompson sub-machine gun posted behind the bartender. If you have always wanted to be treated like a gangster, but never wanted to risk going to prison, Capo's is your place. Ask for the John Gotti table.

Some good friends, who are also restaurant owners, recommended Capo's very highly, and so we joined them for dinner one night, and we were most impressed ! The atmosphere, ambiance, service, and food were all equally terrific. Simply stated...great italian food, great place to go for a wonderful dinner ! If anyone has negative things to say about this fine restaurant, then we must assume they were not actually there !!
Dominic, our hats are off to you and your fine staff, and keep up the good work.....you can count on us to be ""regulars"", and we will sing your praises whenever we have the opportunity !!

Why would gazillionaire Nico Santucci open an intimate speakeasy off the strip in las vegas? Cause he eats there every night he's in town. And now I know why. The food is awesome and the red sauce reminds me of chicago. It's a really intimate atmosphere and it seems to be attracting the right folks. When I walked in I saw Mark Wahlberg having dinner with the owner of course.

I came here to meet one of the owners and have a bit of Italian-American style. I was totally surprised to discover that this place also could create an atmosphere and prepare a meal not outdone by many in the city.
Their filet mignon is one of the best I've ever had and that comes from someone who has frequented many good steakhouses. It is prepared with a Bearnaise sauce and comes with Asparagus and I always, always get the Risotto as a special treat.
The service is top notch and I recommend sitting at the bar sometime to be entertained by John who usually brings my dinner as well as providing me with stimulating conversation.
Dominic is an excellent host and Nico Santucci has a burgeoning nugget of gold here in the desert.

Everything was great about our visit to Capo's I recommend you make a reservation. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived, they have a great wine list with reasonable prices, the customer services could not ask for better service and the food is the Best I have had in Vegas, the experience was great can't wait to go back.

We went to this restaurant after so many people talked about the food and the live entertainment. I must say that we were NOT disappointed-the food was excellent (we ate the lasagna), and the singer Peppe Merolla was fantastic. This is the HOTTEST spot to go in Las Vegas. I would highly recommend it to ANYONE.

The ambience, service and food is fantastic. Peppe is the houce singer and he is wonderful to listen to, the 'capo' also has a beautiful voice. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time though because you can stay for 2 hours easily and not realize it.

Fantastic setting, authentic Italian atmosphere. Very friendly people that make you feel welcomed and at home. The food is, without question, absolutely the best you can get....full of flavor and lots of it! Great place for a romantic dinner or just to be with friends. Get a booth if you can. This is a true Italian experience, just like home!
