We recently held our small wedding reception at this location on 2/18/12 and I would absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone with ANY kind of party. First off, if you want to make a reservation for a celebration they make you sign a contract. You damn well better make sure that EVERYTHING they verbally promise you is put into that contract. The lady we talked to on the phone, Jennifer, said the rooms were "semi-private" and "partitioned" meaning that they were off to the side and that we would have our own space to mull about and have our little party. We all showed up after the wedding and from the get-go, it was a bad experience. Our tables weren't ready so everyone had to hang out in the packed lobby for 15 minutes (it was February and quite chilly outside so that was really our only option besides sitting in our cars). When they called us back, our "room" would have been great for a party but they had sat 3 additional tables in there with us! Instead of letting us spread out and sit comfortably amongst the booths and tables, they crammed as many of us as they could into these long booth/table combinations so that anytime anyone in the booth area had to get up to go to the bathroom, the entire side of the table had to shuffle about. When we asked the manager about this, he denied that they even offered private rooms (though I passed many on our walk through the restaurant). Instead of checking with the sales coordinator, he made us pull up our contract on our phone right there so he could point out that the contract does not specifically guarantee us a "private" room only that they reserve the right to make changes and only attempt to honor our seating requests. We decided to just sit down, shut up, and make the best of it. Our servers were nice and the food was good but the whole thing just felt rushed. We were still able to get up, have a little toast, and hang out but you could tell the other 3 tables in there with us felt really awkward about having to share their space with a party that they were clearly intruding on (though it was no fault of their own). When it came time to pay the bill, the jerk-manager begrudgingly gave us a discount for the inconvenience. My sister and I noticed that this included a reduction in the servers' tip. When we asked jerk-manager about it he looked quite disgusted and made the snide comment that "everyone is going to have to suffer for this." I found it to be absolutely unacceptable that the poor waitstaff who makes $2.13 an hour had to suffer for their mismanagement so in the end we left them a rather large tip. They couldn't clear us out of there fast enough, while we were all trying to get our coats and say good-bye, we were having to dodge busboys slinking through trying to clean so they could seat another large party. We ended up going with Buca because Maggiano's required a much larger reservation fee for an actual private room. In retrospect, I wish we would have gone with them, the price would have been worth not having to put up with that manager.

This genius of a waitress was unfriendly, forgetful, and flat out incompetent. She brought us salad plates which we sat in front of us, then never brought any salad. Then she came back 10 minutes later and collected the unused plates?? She took at least 10 minutes to bring our drinks, and then forgot to put our order in completly! Three other tables got their food before us even though we were there first. I asked for a lemon for my water 3 times, I got a whole bowl of lemons after dinner was over? We didn't get the bread we ordered and not once durring dinner were we asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything else..she never asked if we wanted dessert at the end of the meal either. After it was all over she said ""let me box up that food for you"", took the food and never came back! After 15 minutes we finally just got up and walked out..on our way put the door we saw her and she said ""have a good night"" instead of oh my god I forgot to bring your food I'm so sorry"" What a joke! This was probably the worst service I've had in recent memory...thanks for a crappy Mother's Day dinner Tanica!

This is my third time to Buca but I will never return. I always loved their true traditional Italian fare, with authentic tasting marinara, from a old family recipe. That was why I went there, to have real Italian food, not the cardboard imitation the chain restaurants make. Well, its happened, Buca was sold out to the establishment who came in and thought they could do it better. The youngsters always think they can do it better than Grandma, well, guess what folks? You simply cannot will not ever beat Grandma's marinara sauce, the sauce that Buca used to have. I could tell right away when I tasted their tasteless sauce on a bunch of worthless pasta. It was a total waste of energy to go there, and a waste of time and money. I will never return, as for me . . . Buca is no more. Planet Hollywood, the new owners (did I mention that?), has once again turned a perfectly good restaurant into garbage. If you're not used to real actually good spicy and tasty Italian food, with real garlic and real basil and oregano, you'll probably be satisfied. If you are . . . don't go there thinking you will get anything close to what Mom used to make, just don't go there at all. My family sure won't, and that was the unanimous decision around our 10 person party table, all family members. We're Italian and we used to feel at home there, but we don't anymore. Buca is long gone with the old family that owned it, and will soon just have the reputation of The Olive Garden. If you like the Olive Garden you will love it here, but if your taste of Itaian food is more authentic then you won't anymore. We were thoroughly disappointed. So sad to see and taste. Sorry but I have to say, all you shirts that came into that kitchen and said you could do it better with your fancy chefs, have more attitude than skills, because your food is terrible.

I went to Buca di Beppo for my daughters birthday and it was horrible. The serve was something I would receive at a cheaper restaurant, better serve at Blueberry Hills coffee shop. The food did not come out with all the other items, so we eating one item at a time. The waiter was too busy to take care of us, the portions are small, and Overall, I would recommend you don't try any of the Buca di Beppo, I ate at the other one on Lake Mead and it was just as bad. The managers need to be a little bit more aware of what is going on and how the customers are being treated. Considering they offer family dinners, they can't handle large parties well. Good luck if you go with a large party, more then 4 you will be very disappointed. The best part was I told them when we sat down that it was my daughter's birthday, they forgot and I had to remind them. Nevertheless, it was not cheap or worth my money.
