This is a fly by night company. I rented a 15 passanger van to be picked up at 10:00 am on 01/26/13. I was running a little late - at 10:15 I recieved a call from "Mario" about the rental (a deposit was paid) I assured him I was only a few feet away and would be there momentarily.Upon arrival (which is a very small -8x10' room in a body repair shop) I was greeted by Mario and another gentlemen. Mario preceded to tell me that he had bad news and good new for me. The BAD: The van I rented was not there as the person who rented it previously had just called him to tell him he was keeping it another night. The GOOD: He had called a "buddy" in the van rental business and had secured another van for me at a discount. He had me follow him to the other location (which was very sketchy in itself and would not have done it if I was not from here and really needed the van for a group of High School kids going to Sadie Hawkins) When we pulled into the driveway of AIRPORT VAN RENTALS, Mario got out of the van and informed me all I had to do was go in and give them my name ... everything was taken care of.WELL - THANK GOD FOR AVR! Not only was Mario NOT buddies with anyone there - he had just called and made a reservation in my name. The "discount" Mario had assured me of - was the actual price AVR charges! The only thing Mario did right was to take me to a reputable rental company. I would definitley recommend AVR and cannot advise strongly enough to stay away from State Van Rentals.I only gave them one star because of Airport Van Rentals - and I had to give at least one star in order to give this review. Had Mario not lied to me about having a buddy at AVR I might have been a bit more generous .. but then again - this is a really shady business and I would be concerned about the condition of their vans.
