While I did love this school at first as did my son we eventually had to take him out. First, my one main concern was the student to teacher ratio... At the beginning they tell me 1 teacher to 12 students well there were up to 30 kids in the classroom at times. My child had a hard time coping in a class size that large. They are required to do worksheets for an hour at a time it seemed and expected to sit still at 3.5-4 years old, they had a behavior chart in there that seems like once you got on the "oops" or "uh oh" there was no way of earning your way back up. My son is not easy I know that, but really what 3-4 year old is? They lost patience with him I dropped him off at 9:45a and by 10a was called to come get him on the morning we decided to just take him out. I grew tired of hearing all the bad things he was doing and saying. Turns out he MAY be on the autism spectrum... So if you have a child with even the slightest disability or a defiant child I would not recommend this place since they do not have the patience or skill to know how to help a child with special needs or defiance. Though they will offer you resources. Since removing him from this school he is so much happier and his behavior has really turned around. It was truly heartbreaking to hear and be told all the negative things he was doing everyday, nothing positive really was said. I know he can be challenging but I also know he's a sweet, caring and polite kid when treated with patience and respect. While there are a lot of great qualities about this school, there is a lot of room for improvement. Pros: clean organized class room, extremely structured, most staff was pretty friendly, always open door with director Christine, offered resources Cons: too many kids in one room, reflected on negative behavior too much instead of positive reinforcement. One size fits all type of learning or cookie cutter. I know that this cannot be an easy field, early childhood development so I'm just giving our experience so take what you must from it. I'm not one to bash or intently criticize any person place or thing just wanted to share our experience with hand in hand.
This place is great, but it wasn't always. I'm giving it five stars for what it is, as I write this review, not what it was when I first started bringing my child here.In the beginning there was a different director and the center was open 24 hours, but there was really no structure and it seemed a little chaotic, to say the least. For the price, it couldn't be beat. One day, my daughter started crying when we were dropping her off for preschool and this persisted for a couple days, then my girlfriend brought it to the director's attention. My girlfriend had noticed changes in the teachers and my daughter was not adjusting well. The director, who was a new one, set up an appointment so they could have a sit down conversation. We were not pleased, before this appointment and wanted to know what was going on and why our daughter was feeling the way she was about the school. So, come to find out, they had been letting some teachers go and bringing in new ones and changing the structure of the classes to be more school like, rather than daycare like. The reason they were letting some teachers go was because they were bringing in more qualified people to fill the positions, after they had hired a new director, who is much much better than the original director. They have always worked with us, as far as payment goes, as long as you let them know in advance, which is like any bill. After setting up the new structure, my daughter, who was two at the time, was bumped up into the 3 year old class because she was doing so well, and they have talked about moving her up another class, since she has turned 3.I have been taking my daughter here since two weeks after they opened, so I've been there since the beginning and have seen the good and bad and the great changes and improvements that have been made. I wouldn't take my daughter anywhere else.Oh and their hours are Monday-Saturday 6am-midnight. Not 24 hours anymore, but not bad at all.
My daughter has attended Kidz Preschool on Ft. Apache since she was 3 months old (when it was called Bright Child). My daughter is now 2 years old, and she loves attending school ever day. The school is much better under the direction of KP than BC. I will admit I am THAT parent, who is very involved in her child's life; I am not the "daycare drop-off" kind of parent. I'm always asking questions about the curriculum, activities, the teachers, etc. - and the directors have ALWAYS been patient and professional with me and kindly addresses all my questions and concerns. Ms. Shanda and Ms. Jamaika have also been great with looking out for the well-being of my daughter. Without going into details, I had a personal incident earlier this year that made me nervous, BUT these ladies handle the situation with ease and grace and helped put my mind at peace. In addition to the great directors, I love daughter's teacher, Ms. Akieya! As a teacher myself, I am so happy that my daughter has a teacher whose actions match her words, and I can see that she really cares about my daughter and her classmates. I always make sure I tell Ms. Akieya at least once a month how grateful I am for her and how much she is appreciated. As a teacher, I get it...sometimes just a simple acknowledge of one's good efforts can make a person's day, week, or even month. **************************For any parent reading my review, like with anything, PLEASE do you own research/inquiry. After reading other reviews, I was saddened by some of the false information people have posted just because perhaps they were upset at the time of writing their review. And, yes, I realize that there is always 3 sides to a story: his, hers, and the ultimate truth that only the Dear Lord knows.
I read the previous negative reviews and I couldn't disagree more. I have an infant in their infant room and a 3yr old in the early preschool room. We have been going to this school since my 3 yr old was a toddler. I've never seen any issues with the ratio in the infant room or the early preschool room. The infant teachers are great! They usually have about 6 babies with 2 caregivers daily.. the teachers listen to what I want as a parent and they keep my son on the schedule I made for them. I like that the room is shoe free and each baby has their own crib. i dont like sharing baby cribs.. Ms Shawna is very loving to all the babies. I get detailed reports everyday which is great! They also have a phone in the room so I can call the main office and ask to talk to the teacher if I want to check in on my baby. They also have the web cams that grandma in CA watches all the time. My daughter in the early preschool is learning so much! She can write a good amount of letters and numbers. She also is learning Spanish and sign language in her class too! There's maybe 18 to 20 kids in her class with 2 teachers. The teachers have the class in a routine and the kids listen! The girls in the office are also great. They always take time to say hello to us. they are always smiling and so helpful if we need anything. When I picked up my kids last week, they asked me to fill out a survey and let me know they are going through the national accreditation process which is a huge plus in my book! Overall amazing preschool!
Over the past 7 years I have had 3 children go thru Kids R Kids in Silverado Ranch. Ms. Stacey has cared for all our babies in the infant room. That s how long she is there. Also, their 1 and 2 year old classrooms are excellent. When my kids went to the pre-k program, they were more than ready for kindergarten. After graduating out from their Private Kindergarten my kids went off to one of the top rated Private schools in Las Vegas. The teachers of all of my 3 children were so impressed with their knowledge and commented that most children coming from Kids R Kids come in at a higher level. I recently recommended KRK to a friend who commented about the bad review on yahoo. I have to tell you the review is totally not what happens at Kids R Kids. I think unfortunately sometimes families or children's individual needs or family finances just don't work out. Our children have been so blessed by the care of the teachers and Ms. Cindy, and Ms. Marissa who create a wonderful family feeling each day for my husband, myself and our children. Good job guys.... Keep up the good work.
Mrs,. Gloria and Bring Em Young Academy has been such a HUGE blessing in our lives. As a mother of 1 year old twins and a 3 year old I was extremely hesitant as to whether someone could handle the amount of attention and energy they required. Mrs. Gloria had a true gift to relate to each of my children's needs from the moment I dropped them off on the very first day. My children adore Mrs. Gloria and talk about her on the weekend and are happy to get in the car to see her on Monday! As a teacher it is vital for my children to be in an academically enriched environment, but I was not ready to send them to a large learning facility. Bring Em Young is truly the best of both worlds. Mrs. Gloria puts an incredible amount of time into the kids' activities. Each day they come home with a detailed report of their day and a purposeful and fun lesson(s) that they have worked on. I would recommend Bring em Young over and over again and can only pray we find someone so loving and knowledgeable as Mrs. Gloria again!
I absolutely LOVE this place. The Staff is AMAZING. You can clearly see that they love their jobs. I also love all of the security measures they have including typing your own individual code at the front of the daycare to gain access to the children. In this world, all of the security measures they have in place are very comforting. I have a 2 and a half year old and a 4 yr old. We've been going there for about 3 years and my daughters LOVE this place. The school has great curriculum and they serve healthy meals and snacks. My oldest just turned 4 last month and by 3 and a half, she knew all of her letters, colors, shapes and how to write her name. She constantly surprises me with the things she knows. They also do a GREAT job with potty training. Both my girls were potty trained by 22 months. I have no complaints at all. Everything about them is great. I could go on and on about the things I love about them, but I'll stop now. All I can say is you WILL NOT be disappointed if you take your children here.
HiI would like to take the opportunity to Thank you all. I cannot express the gratitude I have for the teachers, assistants and director of this wonderful daycare. The staff here care about the kids. They have a safe and fun place to be. I searched and looked for a great place for my son to be when I'm not with him, I went to several day cares interviewed moms, etc. and now I feel so calm and happy that I found the right place. I would like to give a special "Thank you" for the room # 2 teacher, when my son cried the 1st day, she took my son and gave him a hug and tried to calm him down, this touched my heart. The camera gives me peace and I am so happy to see he is in a safe, fun and lovely place. Today my son did not cried anymore and he even went to the teacher's arms right away..... Thank you "Blue Diamond" Bright Child Learning Center!!!

Had you asked me 2 wks ago I wouldve said they are best. I cant say that anymore. My son was pushed by another kid there causing him to have to have his 2 front teeth removed. Yes they called me and told me, but no nothing was done. The director says she feels she did enough because the other kid went home for half a day and his parent put him in therapy. I understand they are just kids but when it comes down to what happened and the severity of it, something shoudlve been done. I would say if you enroll your child please make sure you know that if something like this happens nothing will be done. While my son sits at home not able to close his mouth the other child is at daycare/school. I GIVE 2 STARS BECAUSE THIS FACILITY WAS ONCE A NICE AND SAFE PLACE FOR MY SON TO GO.
