I visited tj maxx last night with my mom and we saw a desk that caught our attention. We were in her car so there wasn't any way for us to take it home, but we asked the manager (tony) if he could hold it for us until the next morning (07/25/2017) so we could pick it up in our truck. Tony was extremely helpful and attentive and he took my name in order to hold the desk. I took the 30 minute drive from my house to tj maxx this morning, ready to pick up my desk. After waiting for 30 minutes to pay for it the girl found a small sticker under the desk and informed me that the desk had two prices, and asked if I was fine paying for the higher one which was $100 more than the ticketed price that was hanging from the desk. I told her the ticket of $99.99 clearly belonged to the desk since it had the description of it, and she said she'd ask her manager. The manager at the time (12 pm) scanned the item and saw that there was no set price to it but still told me that she somehow confirmed it was $199.99, and told me that's the price I would have to pay. As annoyed as I was about wasting my time I understand that retail jobs can be frustrating so I did not argue the price and simply told her I wouldn't be taking it anymore. She didn't bother to apologize or say a word to me she just looked away as if I was in the wrong, not the fact that they marked an item incorrectly and refused to even look into their mistake. None of the employees spoke to me after I told them I wouldn't be paying $100 more for an item that was clearly marked a certain price. it's bothering that customers are being considerate and understanding about simple mistakes like printing the wrong price but the least a manager could do is apologize.
Bad experience with a cashier or manager named Laura, on Dec. 31, 2016 between 9:30-10:30 a.m., she is a very rude lady, at the time to make a return I did not find the receipt because I had a lot of from such store, at the end I found it (maybe in less than 3 minutes), she started bother herself and she told me, "OK!!!", I am going to attend the next person", i said, "wait... I'm going to find the receipt", she said "don't shout me" i said "I'm not shouting you" if yes, ALL people around in the this area were listening me shouting, I'm just telling wait" I told her, i am going to call to the corporation for a complaint and she said CALL... CALL... CALL.. in an ARROGANT way, so I called after 6 days because i was so sick for that TERRIBLE moment that i had with her and the corporation told me that the only Laura that they have here in Laredo is the manager or one of the managers, WOW!!! HOW TJ MAXX CAN HAVE A PERSON LIKE HER, she needs to be aware how to treat people, i have all the documentation of my doctor how I felt and all the medication that i needed for this situation. Once I walked in I was already satisfied with their clothing style, then I took a few more steps and I was even more satisfied with their barbershop! Great clothing!
