If you are looking for a cheap bare-bones gym, this is the way to go. I chose this gym because it was the cheapest alternative in town.On the upside: It has a decent amount of free weights and several squat/dead lift racks. They have a sauna. The staff is quite friendly, and there is a supplement store (although I just order offline myself). 24/7 access with key purchase. They offer some classes too, if that's your thing. Free day lockers, also. And, a beautiful view out of the studio window. On the downside: It is very small, and it can get cramped right after work during peak hours, but I have not had any problems getting a consistent workout in yet. They do not offer towel service, aside from "sweat towels", which negates the sauna option for me -- a real bummer. The internet is very slow and has gone down several times while in there, so I have to resort to using data for music -- another big turnoff. The "cross fit room" is very loud and echoey and it chambers up into the top floor -- guys throw their barbells down and it rackets through the entire place. Lastly, the modifications they are making don't really make much sense -- MMA cage, turf. etc.For me, I would be willing to pay a little more if there was decent internet and towel service. And down the road, more weight room space, a proper stretching area (not a small patch of carpet by a window), and some variety of cardio equipment. Again, this is bare bones. I will probably stick a few months out due to the registration few and switch over to the newer nicer location. The staff is great, location is prime, but unfortunately it is lacking.
Excellent gym ive been here for a year now and couldnt be more satisfied. Plan on lifting here for a long time.
Great gym, smart helpful employees! I like the new improvements, and the addition of the fuel nutrition is also great!
Excellent gym. Great improvements under the new owner with more on the way. The staff is great and always willing to help with whatever you need. Nice equipment and is always clean.
Great atmosphere and amazing new facilities! Place looks better and better everyday and I enjoy working out there.
Great improvements to this facility of late with an expansion forthcoming. Two government run facilities (the University and the City Rec Center) provide all the incentive to support this great Laramie small business.
Ive been going to Laramie Fitness for about 3 years now and I have to say that what the owner and employees have done for the place from since i first started coming is great. When i first started the owner had a bit of a mess to work with but he has turned it into a polished spot, granted it could be bigger but right now the owner is working on expanding. I would definitely say its worth checking out especially for the price.
After lifting here for almost 2 years, and intermitenly having to go to other gyms around the state, I have found that Laramie fitness has the most enthusiastic and embracing staff. On top of that it is fully stocked and capable to handle a high volume of customers making it easy to come in at any time and have a welcoming and comfortable work out. Overall this gym is the ideal gym for anyone looking to better themselves.
Best gym in the region. From fitness classes to powerlifting, this gym has it all. Great owner and knowledgeable staff. No need to look any further for a gym
This is by far the best gym in town. The owner has done a ton of renovations in the time that he has been with the gym and has added in so many improvements, including new equipment, a supplement store (Fuel Nutrition), and has remodeled both locker rooms. The gym has an extremely family friendly environment and the employees are professional, courteous, and very helpful. Fuel Nutrition carries any supplement you could possibly ever need and everything is fairly priced as well. I don't think I will ever have a better experience than the one I have had coming to this gym.
