First off I had a gel based shellac polish done beautifully at a place in Cheyenne. Then, I made a Shellac appointment with a place here in Laramie since I live here and wanted to find and support a place locally. The owner in fact was my nail tech for the appointment and when she removed my previous shellac she used the nail dremel tool with out even soaking my nails so it got hot on my nail and was a little uncomfortable, she was also very rough while trimming my cuticles but I just toughed it out. Then not even a week later my shellac is chipping and my nails are paper thin from the filing so they are splitting and snagging (which is why I chose to do shellac in the first place, to make my nails healthy). So now my nails look and feel terrible. So I called and spoke with the receptionist and told her that I was upset and wanted my money back, due to their condition. And she stated that the owner was not in and would call me back. I asked for her to have the owner call me back after I got off work since I was only on a short break. A little bit later I was curious if she had already called me, which she had and her response was that there was another lady who got her nails done with the same color and that it did not set. Which was only part of my problem, the other being the condition in which she filed my nails paper thin. So I called back and spoke with the receptionist again, and not once did she offer for me to speak with the owner and that basically they would only fix it and that was it no refund. If I go to Wal-Mart and have bought something and it was broken I can either get a new one or get a refund. Also what would it matter if they were to give me a refund, if I let her fix it ( which I don't because my nails are sad and weak now) then she would be out the money anyway. The point is that the my overall experience with this nail salon is very poor, due to the lack of taste and unwillingness to even compromise after the real condition of my nail rather than shellac not curing.
