Kona Bay Cafe

Never having written a restaurant review, I was motivated to come immediatly home after dinning at Kona Cafe to share my experience. I was stopping in for a quick breakfast by myself and sat at the "bar". My breakfast took 45 minutes to arrive cold as I watched it sit in the food window for 5 minutes which does not have a heat lamp. Several serves including the owner, Joe walked by seeing I haven't touched my food as I was trying to get someones attention. My food was sent back to be reheated but they forgot to send back my pancakes which are now ice cold. I have to ask a server where my reheat is and it's finally returned as most reheats do that sit under a broiler. Eggs over easy are now cooked all the way through. I gave up on the pancakes at this point. I asked for a check and my $9.99 sampler was $11.49 not to mention a $2.49 coffee charge that I could only get refilled once.



I payed my bill and went over to speak with Joe, the owner, and tell him about my experience. I was met with a nonchalant if not cavalier attitude. Basically, tough luck on my end and we are busy.....what did you expect? Not as much as an apology. This is a sure fire way too lose local customers. Needless to say, I will not be eating at Kona Cafe. While these situations do happen at restaurants, the attitude and lack of customer service by the owner, Joe was more then enough to keep me and my family out of this "hope you're a lucky" patron restaurant.

Great place for breakfast or lunch!!!!!.....Try it you'll like it!!!!
