The Elegant Pooch

I’m new to the East Lansing area and was nervous about boarding my black lab, Toby, but I’m so happy I trusted the Elegant Pooch with my fur baby! Everybody here is extremely sweet and I could tell they all genuinely cared about the safety and comfort of Toby. I got daily texts about how Toby was doing including pictures and videos and knew I could trust that he was being taken care of. As someone who thoroughly researched all boarding kennels in the area when I found out I would be out of town, I can guarantee you that the Elegant Pooch is far and beyond the best! You’re crazy if you go anywhere else!!

Cory has been my groomer for so many years, at
Least twenty, I followed her from two other places. Cory is not only an expert at grooming, but an expert in dog handling. I had her groom from Huskies to Labradoodles to ShihTzu and nothing fazes her, she knows them all. Her other employees are pleasant and add to the nice atmosphere of Elegant Pooch - although this new place is far from my home, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

We ALWAYS use The Elegant Pooch when visiting our family members. We moved to the U.P. 4 years ago but our family is all in the Lansing area; therefore, we have to have a SAFE and TRUSTWORTHY place for Sadie (our dog) to stay. The ENTIRE staff was / is always helpful, professional and courteous; the establishment is extremely clean and safe for the animals. A bonus... if I text or call to check on Sadie, I get an immediate response AND then... I get to hear the stories of how she was with other dogs, which always ends up in laughter. ALSO... the staff members appear to get along together and that is important to see when dropping off our furry family members. One more thing... there was a constant and professional flow of traffic of animals coming and going and everyone - humans and furry babies - were always smiling or bouncing around all happy (if your dog gets groomed, you may come home with a bandanna! Sadie likes her special "bling" she gets from The Elegant Pooch!)

Summy loves Miss Karen! Me too! Karen does an amazing job on this stinky little pomeranian, who has an insane undercoat and is sometimes (lots of times) a big whinybutt baby about getting groomed and pedicured. She goes in a matted stinky hot mess and comes out beautiful and smooth and smelling like a flower garden. Their prices are *very* reasonable and their skill is top notch. Summy also doesn't act like she can't get out of there fast enough, which tells me that she's being treated gently and with love. We won't go anywhere else and you shouldn't either! Summy says, and she's the boss of everyone!

I love how well they do with my 60 lb puppy. They are helping to teach him social skills as well as how to behave while being groomed.

I'm new to the Lansing area and had tried Petsmart in the past to groom my King Charles Cavalier. They did an ok job for a freakishly expensive price. I don't even pay that much to get MY hair done, so I was in physical pain when I handed my card over to pay for my 25 lb dogs haircut. I decided to try The Elegant Pooch this time around after I found them online. Wow! What a difference! The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. The whole place was super clean and organized. Julie did a fantastic job at making my little man clean, soft, and even more cuddly. And the best part, it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. They really know what they're doing and love their job. It shows. Keep up the awesome work ladies! You'll be seeing Lucas and I again!

I was going to pets smart prior to..every time I went to pick up my Lil guy I was always pissed..this time I picked up from the place ,& I was so ecstatic .!!i will never go any where else!!!!
