I have sent my past two laptops to capital data to get cleaned and defragged. I have had a great experience both times. Turn around time was good too. I recommend them for your computer needs.
I should have researched this company before I went ahead to purchase parts. Exactly the same problem. This Lola sent me a bad part that’s not working n refused to give me a refund. She keeps insisting my pc is bad wen it works very well with alternatives. This people are scammers !! Never buy nothing from them. They would scam and steal ur money knowing they can’t give u any value for ur money by sending u correct item. Acer is to be blamed by directing their customers to these terrible 3 rd part vendors capital data inc. if there was a —ve Star dey deserved it. They say they have no manager so u can’t escalate ur claims!! They lie they’d get back to u and never do.. they do and say everything and anything to forcefully keep ur money . Sometimes they stop picking ur calls and you are directed to the same person u purchased from that alone should have been a signal that these people are con artists. Their customer Service is over the top horrible they start yelling at you ,cutting u off n just refuse to be reasonable. They keep going round n round the issue when it’s very simple .. if it’s not wat u want then return it simple! Now when you insist n try to get lawyers involved they tell you they have a restocking fee that’s Atlst half the price u got it at. These people are just plain theives!!
Great service. Friendly people. Never try to sell you something else. Occasionally explained why I did not need something I though I should buy. They have recovered info from bad hard drives and have kept my old MAC running well for years.
Easily the rudest owner (Mark Holmes) I've ever spoke to in the industry. Sold me a fake battery for my laptop, refused to return it saying it's been 30 days (on the 30th day) and saying he couldn't find my transaction even after willing to email him a receipt.Tried to charge me triple the cost of a genuine battery, wouldn't verify the serial number or part number of the new battery so I can compare it to the first one he sold me. Hung up on me 3 times, refused to refund or return.I would highly recommend staying away from this business as you'll either be ripped off by their price gouging or take advantage of because of the lack of knowledge.I also sent in a complain to gateway/acer as they use this company as a 3rd party vendor. Poor choice.
I SHOULD OF SEEN THE REVIEWS, IT'S ALL TRUE!!!!!!!!!!! I have a similar problem with this so called Mark Holms. I ordered & paid for recovery media, it was NO GOOD per GEEKSQUAD. For the past 2months I was promised a replacement if it didn't work of recovery media that WOULD work to be delivered, his answer was, "let me get with my delivery dept. and fix this issue." HE NEVER DID, NEVER FOLOWED UP, NOR CONTACT ME!!!!!!!!! this went on for 10 calls the same excuse.
WORST company I have ever experienced!!! I wish there was a negative star option!! My family took our laptop to Capital Data Inc in Lansing Michigan. Mark W. Holmes, the president of this business promised to fix it for under $100. When it was time to pick it up Mr. Holmes asked for $200 to fix it... When confronted with the price he gave us and the receipt he got aggressive and highly unprofessional. He refused to return the laptop unless we paid him $50 for a so called "diagnostic." He had no receipt validating this $50 charge and he never mentioned this until we refused to pay him $200. He refused to return our laptop and threatened to sell the laptop for parts in order to make a profit. No concept for customer service! He said we can go ahead and sue him in the small claims court for all he cared and that he'll tell the authorities that we abandoned the laptop. Need I say that this man is probably in his late 50s, 60s. At one point, he started mocking me and making cry baby faces, repeating everything I said... clearly unstable, I freaked out and called the cops. Not a big shocker when he was dishonest with the police officer. He refused to return my property even when the officer urged him to do so a number of times. My family is out of a laptop and the authorities cannot help, since this is a small claims court case. Who's got the money for a lawyer?!? Clearly, I am not the first victim, since Mark Holmes, president of Capital Data Inc, in Lansing, Michigan knows exactly what he can get away with this.PLEASE STAY AWAY!
I sent a computer that worked and received a broken machine in return. They offered apologies and charged to recover data. They said it was the manufacturer's fault. They evaluated the machine, broke it, offered to recover data for the price of repairs and said, "Sorry" after 3 months of waiting for repairs. I'm just saying...Don't go here.
